Wonderful "all senses" tour of the Chelsea Market and Meat Packing district. Tasted wonderful food, listened to incredible tour guide share stories and the history of the area, listened to sounds of the city, saw beautiful restoration, development and use of old buildings, saw amazing food preparation, smelled fresh seafood and pasteries, enjoyed the comfortable pace as we walked through the city, felt it was one of the BEST ways to learn about NYC. Our tour guide, Kurt, was so much fun. He connected with everyone in our tour group. When it was over....we wanted to invite him to dinner. Looking forward to our next visit and food tour. |

Bob our tour guide was so informative and lots of fun - we thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience and wonderful food tastings, if you enjoy food we highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting New York City. The tour is combined with a little culture and history so it is not all eating..nonetheless after all the tastings we certainly did not have room for dinner that evening! This is our second experience of a food tour and will plan a third one when we visit again!! |

This tour was highly educational, touching on the interesting background of the business owners and the developer of the Chelsea Market, as well as the history of the neighborhood and the market building. Our interest is peaked to visit the neighborhood on our next trrip back to NYC. We definately enjoyed the market and want to come back there as well. The food we tasted was exceptional from the lobster bisque to the organic chocolate milk. We were a little disappointed that there was not more food purveyers to sample, there was more in one of the other tours we did a couple of years ago. But it was a wonderful day and money well spent. |

I really did not know what to expect and was extremely pleased with our tour of the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District. Our tour guide Cindy was terrific and had a sense of humor. The tour was very interesting and the food tastings were extensive and more than I had anticipated. I would definitely recommend the tour and I would be happy to try another tour with the same tour company. |

This was my second tour from Food Tours Of New York and they have both been excellent - great value for the fee. I have a food intolerance (gluten) and although many of the food samples were off limits they went out of their way to accommodate when possible. However the great knowledge alone is a great way to understand this area of the city. I will definitely go on another tour on my next NYC visit.

Was so excited to take our Food Tour and we were not disappointed! Besides the great food we sampled we also were exposed to the rich history of the area. Alot of " I didn't know that!" was heard throughout the day. I am looking forward to another Food Tour! |

This is my second tour (my friends and I did the Greenwich Village Tour last November). During the Chelsea Market/Meat Packing District tour, I enjoyed myself immensely. The tour guide, Darryl, was incredibly knowledgeable; (the historic content he provided was amazing). Darryl was also very entertaining and gets a double thumbs up from my entire group. The food samplings were all very good / delicious; however the balance of savory/sweet should be addressed. Although it was quite yummy, starting with a cupcake at 11:00 am wasn't what we imagined. I had a great time and would do another, different tour again, this particular tour was too heavy on sweet / dessert-like tastings. |
