We toured the Chelsea Martket and Meat Packing District August 2. Our tour guide was Diana. Diana was a wealth of information, facts and figures. The food was superb and received a healthy portion at each stop. The fish shop was the best in my opinion, the soups offered were exceptional and tasty. Enjoyed seeing Mario Batali and Morimoto's restaurants, although not open for service we were allowed in as part of the Foods of New York tour. What would make this better if we were allowed to see the Food Network studio in the building. Overall, an exceptional tour and with fair value and would recommend highly.

Diana was outstanding. We had a great time and she kept the group moving well. This is the second super tour we've gone on, the first was with Cindy. We're looking forward to more.

My wife and I enjoyed this tour every much. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the food we tasted was great and the portions at some of the tasting were more than we expected. I would recommend this tour for anyone visiting NY city. My wife found this area of NY city to be great fun and we would return to on our next visit. This is an area you would not expect to visit but is as much fun or more fun to see than some of the better known site to visit. This is my second of three bookings through "Zerve" two thru the internet and now one over the telephone. The person over the phone was very friendly and helpful.

My husband & I ( from Australia) love good food. We were taken to numerous food outlets in this area, covering seafood, Italian, cheeses, breads, sweets & icecream and more. Tastings were generous & of very high quality. Our guide was well informed of the area's history as well as the current make up of retail outlets & restaurants. The 3 hour tour was great value, entertaining & passed too quickly.

I was really excited about going on this tour but it was a let down the only thing my friends and I enjoyed eating was the cookie and chocolate milk. We thought for the price there would be plenty of samples and that was not the case we ate lunch afterward. We did not enjoy passing thru 2 resturants while customers were eating it was very uncomfortable.

We had a wonderful time on this tour and learned quite a bit of history as we experienced the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking district. Our guide was knowledgeable, charming, and very good at keeping us at a good pace (not too fast, not too slow). The food we tried was quite delicious, and we also enjoyed seeing the other places in the area our guide thought would be interesting to point out. Although it is a food tasting tour, I believe the historical facts our guide provided were the perfect icing on the cake. We actually returned later in the week with a local friend and pointed out all the same interesting things we learned on the tour! And of course, we took the time to do additional shopping and eating at the market!

I would go on this tour again only for the food! It was so good. Our tour guide was excellent. We took a few other tours on our trip but this was by far the best!
