| I surprised my husband with this tour because I had thoroughly enjoyed the Greenwich Village tour on my last NYC visit. He LOVED Chelsea Market! The food was fabulous and the guide was fun and informative. I recommend these tours to everyone travelling to NYC. They offer a great opportunity to learn about the area and taste great food. |

| Far better than our expectations. Our guide (Erick?) was informative and funny. The pace was great, we saw a corner of NYC that we didn't know and had some great food as well. After talking to friends who live in NYC and thought htey knew the area, we realize we now know it much better.
Thanks |

| I did enjoy the tour...Curt was very funny, informative and prepared. I had a food issue and was unable to eat a few of the items. I don't know if any accomodation was made for my issue, (no substitutes) but in the end I was unable to partake in two of the stops. I think if I had been "shut out" of any more than two I would have felt that I had been ripped off. I would, and have, recommended this tour to friends.

| We enjoyed getting a tour of the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District. I had been on the Greenwich Village tour and enjoyed that as well. This one didn't cover quite as much ground but was still fun. Curt was a hoot. |

| There were 6 people in our immediate group, EVERYONE in the group had a great time. Kurt was our tour guide.....not only was he knowledgable of the shops, restaurants & the area but he was enthusiatically funny. A great sense of humor! Chelsea Market was a great place, fresh vegetables, meat, seafood, bakery items, wine, flowers - what else is better in life than to have all that indoors, under one roof? The lobster bisque was to-die-for in the seafood market! The local trivia was informative & the day was beautiful. Wear comfortable shoes & layered clothing, - you'll be indoors & outdoors. What a way to get acquainted with the area, enticing you to come back again to visit any of the places you visit on the tour.
Enjoy! |

| I never would have known that the Chelsea Market/meat packing district existed and all the history and interesting facts that Kurt provided about the tour made it even more interesting. Kurt's sense of humor and the fact that he really seemed to enjoy what he was doing made the tour that much more fun. I can't wait to go back to the Market again to buy some of the delicious food we sampled and to eat/hang at the restaurants/bars in the meat packing district.
We were really glad that we took the tour and I have already recommended it to some of my friends. |

| While having been in NYC a hundred times, I had never been to Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing District. It was a neighborhood that your mother told you to avoid, (part of the appeal no doubt).
I was in town for the Big East basketball tourney and found this tour via City Search. I am fond of walking tours in NYC, London and wherever I find them. This is the first tour sponsored by Zerve I've taken.
First, the sampling of different foods in a wholesale envirnoment was new and fun. Subsequently, I returned to the area the next day for lunch and for dinner at two of the places we had seen on the tour; good food, pricey, "Sex in the City" crowd.
Secondly, I enjoyed the "other" discoveries at least as much as the advertised food tour, e.g., High Line Rail, meat on hooks on the sidewalk, Stella McCartney shoe store, Coyotte biker bar. Tour guide's insights re: history and tranistion of neighborhood were very interesting. Also visited an art exhibit in the neighborhood after the tour ended.
The tour guide was entusiastic, well informed, and responsive to questions. Group was a good mix of age, sex, interests, etc. The limit of 10 persons per tour, mine was at max, was just right; more would have been a problem of logistics as well as chemistry.
This tour costs more than others but the price was about right for the value received. Price is the main reason I did not give this 5 stars.
I will take a Zerve tour again and have recommended it to others.

| This was a great way to learn more about what's in your own backyard! Kurt, our guide, was friendly, upbeat, and very knowledgable. A great way to spend a few hours on the weekend exploring the neighbourhoods and restaurants. I will recommend it to others and will take a tour of other NYC neighbourhoods based on this experience - and I work in NYC every day! |
