I purchased the tickets for a friend for a Christmas present.
We like to share different things to do ...day trips etc.
My daughter and her husband attended the Food tour last year
and really enjoyed themselves. That was enough to convince me
to go and see for myself. Our tour guide Kurt was very personable
and enthusiastic. The foods we tasted were more than I expected
and also the history behind the Meat packing district was very interesting
Kurt provided for us a very interesting day! I would definitely go back
just to shop in the stores and spend the day sight seeing. |

Although the tour was fabulous,, I think it would have been more enjoyable to spend the first hour in the market with a few samples of food, then go out to the meatpacking district walking tour, then last hour back in the market for more sampling of food. There was just too much food in a small period of time........................ |

Our tour guide's name was Kurt. He happens to be the most informative, bright and funny guide I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He made the tour very interesting, fun and smooth. Great job Kurt!! Ask for him when you book the tour. |

This was our first excursion of this type. Our Guide was informative and knowledgeable about the food and the establishments in the area. Our children were as engaged as we were. Our hats are off to a great program. |

I only had 2 days for my first trip to New York and decided to spend 3 hours of it on the Chelsea Village/Meatpacking walking tour - it was the best decision that I made.
The tour was fun, interesting and full of great food - you graze as you walk. A real variety of foods and facts to tantalise your taste buds. I have described it to New Yorkers and many of them want to do it too now.
An interesting addition to the tour was "Hogs & Heffers" which was the inspiration for Coyote Ugly - go, be open-minded, and enjoy!
I would recommend this trip to anyone who has more than a passing interest in great quality food and learning some history, and future, of a vibrant area of Manhattan. |

First of all let me start of by saying that our tour guide Curt was awesome. He was very entertaining and really knew his stuff. If you choose to take this tour I highly recommend Curt as your tour guide. The places we visited were very interesting and food was fantastic. Couldn't have asked for a better way to spend our afternoon. I will definitely recommend this to everyone I know traveling to NYC. Thank you much.

The Chelsea Mkt./Meatpacking Dist. tour was a perfect way to spend an afternoon. It was more than half indoors, so weather (in January) was not an issue. I was originally concerned that it would be too much walking, but there were ample opportunities to stop and rest when needed. We enjoyed all of the stops on the tasting tour and tried some things we might not have, if they weren't a part of the tour. This neighborhood has come a long way. It will be exciting to see this area in another five years! |
