Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Although the day provided inclement weather most of our tour was indoors. By the time the indoor tour was completed the sun began to shine...hooray! Plenty of food was provided and quite an array it was! Enjoyed strolling around the Meatpacking district which had been a place to avoid for many years. Each sampling of food was delicious....and our guide provided lots of laughs. He was great with our names. I cannot wait to do this tour again and to try the others that are offered.

There were five of us from 35-65. Two of us took the tour before. We got the same tour guide person named Kurk. He made the tour. He is funny, and remembered all of our names. We can't say enough about the amount of food, the quality of food, and the tour guide. We all said, that Kurk made the tour. I hope I am spelling his name correctly. We were not disappointed the second time around. They actually added another course at the end, a pasta course. Kurk or Kirt went above and beyond to make our tour special. We all agreed he made the tour.

Tour was informative and fun. Lots of delicious food. Got a really good feel for the area, and learned a lot about its history. Tour guide was cheery and full of character.

The tour was excellent and our tour guide told a great story on the history of the market. The tour pace and timing was efficient but not too tiring. Really enjoyed rounding off the tour at Macelleria. It was delicious!

The guide was great. Food and information great! Interesting and fun!!

This was a wonderful tour with a very energetic host. It was an experience that provided new information for the city that we already love. I will definitely recommend this tour to everyone.

The food was interesting, varied and terrific. The guide and information he offered kept us involved. The variety of sights that we saw made us feel that we had a complete experience. My 88 year old mother said it was the best day she has had in a year..... and it was raining and windy that day. That says a lot!!!

We had a terrific time. Our guide was engaging, funny, and very knowledgeable. We learned a lot about the history of the area as well as its current inhabitants. Great value for the money.

Kurt spent a few minutes with each group and made sure to include people (in a nice, welcoming way) throughout the tour. He provided an excellent blend of culinary expertise, with local history and interesting background to make it a FUN, interesting adventure.
