What a delicious way to spend an afternoon in NYC!

Our guide was part history teacher, part gourmet cook, and part stand-up comedian - the perfect combination! The entire three hours was filled with enjoyable banter between the guide and members of our group punctuated with a variety of the tastes of the premier shops and restaurants located within Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District.

I gave this tour as a Christmas gift to my daughter and daughters-in-law. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Daryll was informative and entertaining. We had a wonderful group that just clicked. A variety of tastings were provided along the way and indeed lunch was not needed afterward. I have recommed this activity to all my friends and coworkers. I plan to give another "girls day out" this Christmas. We range in age from 35 to 65.

This is a little difficult to write as we truly did enjoy the tour. The only downside was that we felt like intruders at times. I know the spaces were tight and the crowds substantial - however, we have been on many tours that faced similar constraints and never felt this way on any of them. Example - at one point we gathered in front of the MLB elevators and it was impossible to get out of the way as the elevator patrons tried to exit. We received numerous eye rolls and hostile glances (and not in just this location). The gal who led the tour was knowledgeable and I am certain is a lovely person - but we did learn in Marimoto (hope I spelled the name of restaurant correctly) that she can project with a voice at SEVERAL octaves lower than she typically spoke. Her loud speaking voice was a distraction as I constantly observed non tour members looking at her with what I could only interpret as disdain. Once we were outside on the street it was fine. Overall we did enjoy the tour, but for this reason, I might not recommend this tour as our friends would certainly be even more conscious of the issues stated above.

Our guide was Kurt and he was wonderful. He was extremely knowledgeable And had a great sense of humor. This tour was more interesting than walking Through a museum. I will sign up for another food tour next time I am in the city.

I have done the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour 4 times now and will continue, but added this one to our trip earlier this month and we were so glad we did, it was great! As with the other tour, the food was wonderful and I love learning the stories and history behind the places we ate at. I have to add that the 5 times now that I have attended these tours, the TOUR GUIDES were awesome! They make it so fun and interesting! Can't wait to do this again next year on our annual trip to NYC!

My friend, Sandy Harmon, and I (Suzanne Alton) took the food tour of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District on May 7, 2011 at 11:30 am with our tour guide Kurt. We thoroughly enjoyed the food selections and Kurt was an awesome tour guide. Kurt was knowledgeable, informative, funny and entertaining. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

My husband and I loved this fun way to explore the Chelsea and Meatpacking district of NYC. Our tour guide, Kurt, was very informative and quite energetic. He made the walking and eating tour very special. The Chelsea Market is a beautiful renovated historical building which houses many innovative food shops. The food tour is a great way to explore the city with other visitors and enjoy new foods.
