Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

The tour was not only ample in food and variety - but a "view" on the origin, evolution of not only the food but the district was fantastic. I would most certainly recommend this tour - Curtis was fantastic and our group was great in energy. I don't see how you could not have a great time.

I would recommend this tour to all food lovers, and those who want to see the real New York.

Darrell, our guide, is very knowledgable about the Chelsea Market and surrounding area. His enthusiam and detail about the vendors and lifestyle made the tour very engaging and was an excellent way to learn about that part of the city. The food choices were excellent and provided a good variety on the market but it was a little heavy on the sweets for my taste.

This was a great tour. Daryl was our guide and he was very knowledgable and entertaining. The food samples that we tasted were great. I had read that you should come hungry and that is the truth!! Knowledge of the area by the guide was fantastic and he told the history of the area as a great storyteller.

My friend and I had the BEST time with our guide. He was super knowledeable and funny! The food was excellent and it was a great way to see a part of NYC we may have not otherwise have chosen to visit. I highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Our group was led by Curt. He knew everyone's name in the group within the first 10 minutes. The food we tasted was delicious and we learned many interesting facts much about Chelsea Market and the Meat Packaging area. A MUST DO on the list for visiting NY City. We've now done 3 of these food tours and can't wait until the next adventure. Thanks for offering this !

Had a great tour - we made the mistake of having a big breakfast first, which we certainly didn''t need.

This is the second tour we've taken, and both were lots of fun and interesting. I found this one to be a little more about the food than the Greenwich Village tour, and I prefer a little more focus on the history than the food, but still was satisfied as the tour guide was energetic and funny and full of information.

This was the second tour I've taken with the Food Tours Group, and the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour was every bit as interesting and fun as the previous one I took last year (the Greenwich Village Tour). We were fortunate enough to have Curt again - what an informative and very entertaining tour guide. He had us laughing the whole time, and certainly was well informed about the area - you could tell this was a young man who really enjoyed his work! The Chelsea Market was a facinating place, and we were totally stuffed after hours of nibbling, tasting, and munching our way throughout the building. The restaurants we visited in the Meatpacking District also made us want to go back on our own to try on another visit. Anyone who says they were still hungry after taking the tour must be crazy! The tours offered are well worth the price, and my girlfriend and I look forward to coming back to New York and signing up for one of the others they offer now. We know we won't be disappointed!
