The Chelsea Market tour is definitely worth your time in NYC.
It was a first class tour. The guide was so informative and
entertaining. And, of course, the food tasted was excellent!
When I'm in NYC again, I will definitiely take other tours the
company offers. |

Interesting, educational, entertaining and delicious way to spend an afternoon! Love the Chelsea Market and could have spent an entire day there. The food tour was awesome and our guide (an aspiring actress) was funny and knowledgeable. She even brought along before pics to show us the area's transformation. Wear comfortable shoes and come hungry, because we were full by the end. Bring your camera too! You are definitely going to want to go back through the market to shop in the various stores/restaurants that you were able to sample on the tour. This was one of the highlights of our visit to NY and can't wait to try the other food tours! Would be fun for New Yorkers and visitors...especially if you love food! |

More than just great tastings, this food tour is packed with great stories, food sampling and loads of New York history! This was the third food tour I have taken in New York City and one of the most interesting. Focusing on the ever interesting development of the meatpacking district, we started at the Food Network building....tasting our way to the streets of Chelsea and to the newly renovated High Line.....visiting Morimotos restaurant and strolling past restaurants owned by iconic chefs like Tom Collicio and Mario Batalli! Our guide was not only knowledgable and humorous but showed a real passion for the subject of food! and this historic location! She kept us laughing, hopping and eating for over 3 glorious hours! I WILL BE BACK! |

I was impressed with the well organized and executed tour. My guide was friendly, outgoing and very willing to answer questions. He (the guide) was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area and the city he so clearly knows and loves. The tastings were a perfect size and I was full by the end of it. I loved the hi-line tour - which I was not expecting - and my guide gave us an excellent overview of the hi - line's history.
It was a fun time and a NY bargain. Anne Gray |

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend this company. The tour guide was charming and funny and seemed to truly enjoy introducing people to new foods and places. We were surprised at the number of tastings as well as the size of the tastings. To say you will not need to eat lunch afterwards is an understatement - we were absolutely stuffed! We had a great time! |

My husband and I don't usually like to take tours when we travel. We are more of looking for the adventure and the non-tourist stuff of the places we visit. Since we were going to be in NYC only for the weekend and being this our first time as "tourists" (we usually visit for business) we decided to give this tour a chance and we were so happy we did.
Our tour guide was great!!, he filled us with amazing facts of the places we visited and gave us some extras that we really enjoyed.
The Chelsea Market is small but great historic place to visit if you like wonderful fresh food. Everything we tasted was delicious and enough to skip lunch. We also had the opportunity to catch some celebrities eating there, we spotted Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo's Fire) having gelato with his family.
Al in all a great tour experience that you should really consider!!. |

Three of us completed this tour on 01 May which exceeded our expectations. We had a great tour guide and he was very down to earth, knew so much about the different shops we went to and the owners/history behind the shops and how they became sucessful.
Incredibly well organised.
I thought we would be the only youngish people on the tour (early to late 30s) and we had others on the tour of similar if not younger age group.
There is a bit of walking involved so good walking shoes is recommended - but its at a reasonable pace and not too fast.
The tour also caters to vegetarians and food allergies - you just need to give them advance notice of this.
The only regret we had was that we didnt book another one. Next time, we will book two or three as we ended up going back to a few of the shops we went to the next day to sample more goodies. |
