Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Lots of historical details about the area by a highly knowledgable tour guide who personalizes the tour for you. Great food, too. This is my second tour. Highly recommended!

I love to cook and found this tour was right up my alley... Literally and alley full of food stores, bakeries, kitchen supplies, minerals, herbs, domestic, imported. Prices are NOT unreasonable. You can build shopping relationships that will continue long after you part. The history is so cool, and this corner or the island has so much to offer. It is a great tour in the winter b/c most of it is indoors (I went during the Christmas blizzard 2010) and it was GREAT FUN. Thanks for all the memories, and great ideas we brought home with us.

Opportunity to learn much about Chelsea Market with knowledgeable, witty and personable tour guide. Food samples were deliciously fabulous! Only regret was that our family took the tour at the end of our New York visit. Next time around, we plan on spending more time down in the market.

We had originally intended to just visit Chelsea MArket and my girlfirend suggested the tour. What a fantastic idea! We got to see and learn much more than if we had gone on our own. The guide was fantastic. The food tastings were quite a suprise! I expected a bite of something , instead was treated to several bites at each place we stopped! Fantastic day in New York...do NOT miss out!!

This food tour was awesome. I have been on several food tours throughout the US and really enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour and guide.

We had a great time on this tour! Our tour guide, Kurt, was very enthusiastic and entertaining. The food sampling was great, and included a wide variety of foods -- from muffins to lobster bisque to chocolate to pasta to olives to rich chocolate milk, etc., etc.. We ended the tour quite full! We enjoyed hearing about the history of the area, and getting introduced to all of the specialty markets. We returned to some of the stores after the tour. We'd take this tour again, and would recommend it to our visitors from out of town.

This was a very interesting and "tasty" tour. Would definitley recommend to family and friends. The tour director was very knowledgeable and funny. Got a good history lesson on Chelsea Market and the meat packing district.
