Kurt is a star and food was constant

Kurt is knowledgeable and extremely entertaining. The food tasting was constant and definitely more than a lunch worth. Fantastic value for money. The only negative for me is that I would liked to have walked more on the tour and been outside a wee bit more. Would recommend this tour.

I went with my sister. We had a great time. Even though I'm a native New Yorker I didn't know the history of the Chelsea Market so it was very interesting. That being said, I would have preferred if we had been walking around Manhattan popping into places, rather than being in an indoor market for much of the time of the tour. But the places in the market were very special and the food we tasted was great.

Basically loved it, but probably could have been done in slightly less time--some info was repeated and detailed more than I would have needed. Guide was definitely well informed and enthusiastic. Would have appreciated slightly more variety in the foods...a bit heavy on the starch, but all were delicious.

We so enjoyed the tour! What a great way to start our visit to NYC! Kurt is a great tour guide and provided lots of fun information with lots of humor and great food. We had plenty to eat along the way - especially loved The Lobster Place and Buon Italia. Can't wait to come back to NY and do the Greenwich Village Tour.

Tour leader (Kurt) was brilliant. This is the second tour we've done (Greenwich Village - also with Kurt) and I would thoroughly recommend this as something different do whilst in NY. Food was excellent and the commentary/history was second to none. Can't give this enough of a recommendation without sounding too enthusiastic. Just go and do it!

An excellent way to explore an interesting part of NYC. Our tour guide was fantastic; she knew all kinds of details and was very entertaining. Of course, the food was delicious too! I would highly recommend this tour and plan to try some of the other tours in the future.

Fun and Informative!

I would highly recommend this tour! My sister and I had a blast. We experienced a variety of foods from the local vendors in Chelsea Market and had a sit down sample meal at Marcelleria in the Meat Packing District. Our tour guide, Cindy, was informative in the history of the building and intimately familiar with each of the stores specialty items. She kept the group together and moving along at a steady pace while sharing with us lots of fun trivia facts. Like how OREO got it's name... Very enjoyable 3+ hours and good variety of foods to sample. Two thumbs up for us!

great for tourists and locals alike. you learn fun food facts as well as some new york city history. the guide is so fun and entertaining (ours was a stand up comedian by profession). and you learn about great places to go and eat. if you are a tourist, you can use this info for the rest of your trip. if you are a native, you may use this info for future reference!! and you eat a lot of very nice food on top of it!
