Can't miss this in New York!!

I travel to NY city about 8 times a year and have for 15 years. I have only been to NY as a tourist twice. This has been on the trip both times and I will do it again. It is worth every penny. I have had two different tour guides and they were both excellent. You eat, tour and get plenty of history about the meat packing district. I went with my husband and his brother and sister in law. They loved so much we had to take Subway back just to eat the same things again. NY is known for food and these tours are the BEST.

Robert, our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area, the foods and venues visited. Tastings were very good and the vegetarian in our group was very impressed at the extra effort that was taken to accommodate them. We have traveled extensively and not found this type of tour anywhere. It was nicely paced taking into consideration the very hot weather and holiday weekend. Highly recommended for any age.

Great tastings, great experience

Loved the tour of the Chelsea Market and Meat packing district. Didn't know what to expect. My husband and I went with our daughter and son-in-law so it was a mixed age group and we all loved the food as well as the information about the area. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. We liked the fact that the tour group was small. The tastings went from just a reasonable sample to a surprising bit more. All were delicious. As a matter of fact, we went back to explore more of Chelsea Market afterwards and bought food to take home from several of the shops we had visited on our tour. I have recommended this tour to many of our friends already.

Diana was very knowledgeable about the areas we visited and we came away from the tour feeling well educated and full of food! We had a great time and learnt so much about an area we had never been to before ( this was my fourth trip to the city). It was pouring rain which meant that we had to shelter under a few awnings on the second half of the tour but Diana knew just where we to find shelter. I will be doing one of your other tours on my next visit!

Our group of five were very pleased with the Chelsea Market tour. What was a rainy day turned out great as most of our time was inside .Outside we were able to duck under cover as the old buildingss have great metal overhangs that cover the sidewalks. The "old" buildings and cobblestone streets return you to a different time, you don't feel like you are still in NYC! To Our tour guide Bob does a great job! He is funny, full of information and did a great job entertaining us! We stopped at several eateries and must say none of us could say we were hungry after this three hour adventure! We are looking forward to visiting the Chelsea Market and Highline again the next time we visit!

Our 5th trip to NYC and trying new things each time, but this tour and the Chelsea Market was the highlight of our weekend. Curt (tour guide) was GREAT!! Funny, knowledgeable about the area, and kept it so interesting. Didn't want it to end. We ended up staying at the market another 2 hours to try things he told us about. Highly recommend it to all ages. We had people in our group as young as 22 and other in there 60's and everyone had a great time.

The Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour was exactly what my husband & I wanted from our visit to NYC. We love to eat and explore neighborhoods and this tour did not disappoint! Bob, our guide, was energetic and fun and full of truly interesting information. We learned a lot about the history of the area as well as where our favorite chefs had their own hot spots. The tastings were perfect, sweet, salty and savory were all covered...we were full following the tour for sure! We aren't really theater people, we'd rather eat our way thru the city...Next time we come we will definitely try other neighborhood tasting tours with Foods of New York!

Informative, Fun and Interesting Chelsea Food Tour

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our Chelsea Meat Packing food tour. Diana was entertaining, but provided an abundance of of knowledge about the Chelsea Market. On her suggestion we went back a second time to eat lunch at Miromoto and purchase some items to take home. The food on the tour was also good. The brief stop at the Highline gave us an opportunity to learn about it and also do more of it on our own. We would both highly recommend this tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip. Jan

We were quite impressed with the tour guides knowledge and explanation of the history of the market. The tastings were varied, delicious and certainly filling; no other meal required after this tour! I had not been to this area of NYC before and now feel that I would visit it again with confidence. I've already started recommending this tour to my friends and family...it is certainly worth the time and money! Thanks for a great and memorable day!
