Our adult daughter had taken this tour a few months ago with another family member, and she highly recommended it to us. Coming from out of town, we were looking for things to do on our first trip to NYC. She didn't mind taking the tour again, so my husband and I took her and a friend, and she thoroughly enjoyed it the second time around, too! We loved hearing about the history of the Chelsea Market, and enjoyed tasting samples of what all the little shops had to offer. At every stop, there was a place to sit and enjoy the food, so we didn't have to stand for the whole 3 hours. It was a hot day outside, but most of the tour was held inside, which was nice. Restrooms were convenient. When it was over, we all had full stomachs, but we decided to go back to the shop that specialized in teas, and had a refreshing drink on comfy chairs while we discussed what we all loved about the tour. We would highly recommend it for all adults. It was certainly one of the highlights of our trip to the Big Apple! |

This was a most enjoyable tour through the Chelsea Marketplace. Ed, our tour guide, was very personable and informative. The food samples were excellent particularly the Fat Witch Bakery brownies. We loved them. The history of the building in which the marketplace now inhabits is very interesting, and Ed did an excellent job of relating that history to us. It was a wonderful three hours. I highly recomment the tour. |

We are from the area, and spend much time in NYC, but had never been to Chelsea Marketplace. The marketplace and surrounding area was a discovery. The marketplace is filled with upscale food retailers selling wonderful food. Would be a great place to shop for dinner. Bob our tour guide was well informed and entertaining. Had little bites of food along the way, starting off with those fabulous cookies. Yum! Small bites added up to plenty of food to sample. Nice afternoon for adults, would not recommend for small children.

guide needed to speak louder and not turn his head away when speaking to the group. Need more history on the area. Better stops. |

My friend and I had been on a food tour of Chicago, and enjoyed it so much, we found this tour online. We live in Toronto, and are always up to combining 2 of our favourite things - food and learning about cities. This tour was awesome. Ed was very knowledgeable and professional, and made us feel really comfortable from the beginning. The food was excellent, and so were the quantities. I would have loved a bit more gelato though, and we were disappointed that we didn't visit the Fat Witch brownie place, but we went back there and bought one on our own, among other things from the amazing stores in the market afterwards. I agree with other reviews, the visit to the washrooms in Morimoto's was definitely a highlight - I'll let you find out why - and we were honoured with a non-tour moment in Del Posto that we really thank Ed very much for - it made our trip very special! We are both big Iron Chef America fans, so it was awesome to see the 2 restaurants on the tour. Great job guys!!! We would definitely do another Manhattan food tour through the same company in a heartbeat. |
