This was our third tour with Food Tours of NY, and it was just as good as the first two but somewhat different. This one didn't seem quite as history-oriented, perhaps because the neighborhood as a destination is much more recent. But the tour was great. The tastings were delicious and much larger than on the other tours (although our tour guide said the food tastings on the other tours were being revamped). Our group was very small so we were able to cover more territory, and I especially enjoyed stepping inside some well-known restaurants such as Morimoto, Spice Market, and Del Posto. Our guide was awesome--knowledgeable, entertaining, and friendly. He was the best guide we've had on any of the tours, and they've all been good. I highly recommend!

Our guide was very knowledgeable, she answered all our questions and we had a lot. She was quick on her feet even though one foot wwas in a walking cast. she took us to terrific places of NY history, places we never knew existed. We loved every part of the tour especially the eating places - a wonderful blend of history and contemporary culture in one afternoon. Before you know it you too will feel like a member of the nieghborhood. This was our second tour with Foods of NY - just terrific. see you on the next one !

The extremely knowledgeable guide was entertaining and made the tour that much more interesting. Providing insights, history, and current events for each location visited made each tour stop memorable. And, the sampling and background on and of the various establishments was a sure-fire way for return visits, much to the advantage of each of the shops and restaurants. It sure worked for us that way. Highly recommended and we will try other tours on our next trip to the Big Apple.

Our guide, Diana, was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. She kept the group moving together. We enjoyed the generous samples at each place. We will recommend it to visitors and are planning to take more.

This was our third culinary tour and I think it was our favorite. We were unfamiliar with the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District so it was fun to see something new. Our guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. The food was varied and delicious!
