Great tour

A good look at two of NYC's newer attractions, Chelsea Market and The High Line. And tour guide Curt made it double the pleasure. He was very funny, very social, well organized and very knowledgeable. Brought the 20 or so of us all together so we felt like friends on an outing. We got more than full measure for the price, great fun and we saw and learned a lot that we, even as NYC dwellers of 50-plus years, had never seen or heard.

I really loved this tour. I got it for my mom's birthday because she loves food. But I also loved it too. You get lots of food, history, and fun in this tour. I would definitely recommend. Ask for Curt as a tour guide for some extra fun and excitement!!

Our Guide was very informative and had a great personality. Amazed how he could remember 15 names throughout the tour! He made everyone feel welcome and was able to answer all questions. The food was good and there was plenty. Only complaint is that it ended 20 minutes short of the 3 hours.

Great way to spend a day

Really enjoyed the tour, leader was well-informed and enthusiastic. It was very crowded, I would have preferred a better time, seems most tours ran two ish on weekends...probably the only thing I didn't like. I was full from all the tastings, very full, my husband was ready to go and eat dinner after we got home (two hours after end of tour). He is not a huge guy, maybe 10-15 pounds overweight, but it was not enough for him. If you are going solely for food, you can probably just buy a few things from lthe shops for less money, but then you won't have the guide telling you all the little details of things. The day was fun and interesting and informative....and yummy. My group of four loved it. I will be doing other tours in the future.

What a great saturday afternoon. I got this as a gift for a friend of mine and we loved it. The tastings were generous, our guide was extremely knowledgeable. I recommend this to anyone! We were stuffed! We also learned some information about the area that we did not know before!

Every year, my friend and I spend a day in NYC to celebrate our birthdays. A couple of years ago, we took the tour of Greenwich Village with Food Tours and had a great experience. This year, it was time for the Chelsea Market. The guide was fantastic. He was entertaining, personable and knowledgeable and he remembered everyone's name. The Chelsea Market was interesting with so many diverse stores and eating places. It was also crowded and a challenge to navigate as a group. I am not sure that it is a conducive place for a tour. The foods were interesting but sparse in comparison to the Greenwich Village tour. We met interesting people from all over the U.S., Canada and PR; just that aspect makes the tour worthwhile. A recipe for a Bolognese sauce from a restaurant we visited was printed on the back cover of the tour program. I made the sauce and it was delicious. We also visited the Meat Packing District and the highline. Both interesting and worth a visit on your own. All in all - I would recommend the tour.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Darryl was fantastic and gave some saucy tidbits of information about the Meatpacking District. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. I look forward to taking the Brooklyn tour probably next spring. Can we pleeeeese have Darryl for our guide?
