Our tour guide Curt was so engaging. He remembered everybody's name and where they came from! Our group was very varied, foreign and American, from all over! I was the only New Yorker. He had lots of interesting information to share, was clever and amusing and generally entertaining. And he happily accommodated everyone's needs.

This is the second Foods of New York tour I have taken. I have enjoyed both the Chelsea Market Tour and the Original Greenwich Village Tour. It is a delightful way to spend time in New York City. Our guide at the Chelsea Market tour was Cindy. She was so much fun and very knowledgeable. I had been to both the market and the Highline previously and really did not know the history until I took the tour with Cindy. We experienced excellent food tastings that would not be possible with just a walk through the market on our own. These tours are fantastic for both out of towers and locals.

We were hosting a daughter of friends in Australia and took her to various places in NYC to show her some of the sights and the history. This tour was outstanding. The guide was energetic, knowledgeable and quickly knew us all by name. His description of the various stores was incredibly entertaining and full of humor. The food samples were delicious and together amounted to a small meal spread over a couple of hours. Our guest loved it. And great value for money

My daughter and I took the train from CT just for the food tour. It was worth it!!! Curt our guide was entertaining and full of knowledge regarding the area and the wide variety of foods we tasted. Everything we had was delicious. I would recommend this to all....locals as well as tourists. Our last tasting was a fabulous chocolate dessert accompanied by prosecco.. Yum..my daughter didn't want it to end. She was the last to leave the table

My wife and I really enjoyed our Tour of the Chelsea Market. Besides tasting a lot of excellent food, we also had a fabulous guide, Darryl, who kept us entertained with historical facts, gossip, name-dropping,and juicy stories! I really enjoyed the tour because I felt it gave me an understanding of how the different neighborhoods of New York have evolved and are still evolving. The transformation of the Meat-packing district with its seamy sex opportunities into the Chelsea Market and High Line is an amazing story filled with the names of the rich and famous! Walking through the Market, we tasted so many fine products of high quality. By the end of the tour, the group of strangers had begun to bond and feel comfortable with each other. We highly recommend this tour!

We had a great experience on the Chelsea food tour. We learned a lot about the area and were able to try some delicious tastings. Our tour guide was Darrel and he was really engaging. He made a point to remember everyone's name and get everyone actively participating on the tour. Overall a five star experience.

This is a great tour but I did the same tour last year and I had more food to try. I had friends in from Canada and I bragged about the amount of food they would try and we left hungry. I was a bit disappointed this time around. Learn from me...EAT before you go.

Good! But...

After taking a different food tour with this company which we liked very much, our group decided to try this one. We were very happy with our guide who was organized, knowledgable and entertaining. We had never been to the market before and found it very interesting and the choices for the tour were great. Now the downside - the market was SO crowded and noisy and the shops small that we often had trouble staying together and other shoppers were annoyed by our large group taking over a tiny shop or stopping in the hallway. It was difficult to hear the guide and there was information that we missed because he stood in the middle of the group turning in a circle as he spoke. There was also less food on this tour than the Greenwich Village tour.
