| We would all like to say how much we enjoyed this tour. We had already been on the Greenwich Village tour and thought that was great. This was even better. Our tour guide, Bob, made this tour outstanding.
Bob was interesting and informative.
We highly recommend him and this tour |

| I enjoyed the tour as it was a right combination of food tastings and a history lesson of the meatpacking district. Tour guide was very knowledgeable which was very appreciated. |

| Our guide Bob, a retired law librarian, brought the history of Chelsea to life guiding us on a fun and delicious tour. Also, with most of the tour indoors, it's perfect for a cold or rainy day. |

| It was interesting to learn so much about Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District. Food tasting was absolutely delicious. Great way to start it off with an "everything cookie." I totally recommend this to both locals and tourists! |

| The tour was more than I had expected. Our tour guide, Bob, was very knowledgable and informative sharing the history of the Chelsea Market with us. I thought the tour was well planned and prepared and worth seeing if you are visiting NYC. |

| We were more than a little disappointed in this tour. Earlier in the week we went on the Original Greenwich Village tour and loved it. This tour was like being taken through a mall. Very small samples (left hungry) and the gelatto sample was being given away free to anyone who stopped into the store - not sure where the $44 per person went as the total food sampled probably cost about $5-7 per person. Would have loved it if there was even 1 restaurant tasting as that might have enticed us to want to come back to the area another time. The other tour booklet had coupons for the local businesses which might have encouraged us to return to the market and purchase items, this one did not. Felt the guide did her job, but the tour itself was not well thought out. 2 hours walking through the market, with the final hour (actually less than that as our tour took under the 3 hours we were told it would) was outside pointing out a points of interest. We were allowed to stop into Morimoto's restaurant, and the "highlight" was that we should go check out the bathrooms. Not sure that's what he would like us to take away from his restaurant. The average person could walk the market, pick up a brochure and learn the same information and poke around the shops at your own pace. Also, as for the local restaurants anyone off the street could step inside and ask to see a menu and see the same things we did today. Overall, we would not recommend this particular tour. |

| the tour was fabulous and all of the food was great - really went through a full gambit of foods and information about the area. the best part, however, was our tour guide - curt upton. he was absolutely fantastic. he was so enthusiastic and involved everyone from the start. he made a point to learn everyone's names and used them throughout the entire tour. he was funny, motivational and engaging. he could have talked the whole time - talked fast and furiously - but made sure to include everyone and give them a time to shine. i work for a bike tour and rental company here in nyc and was overwhelmingly impressed with this guide. so much so that i am considering sending my guides on tour with curt to show them how its done. my mother was with me an agreed whole-heartedly that curt absolutely made the tour as wonderful as it was.
thanks,

| The food is a nice sampling, and a good amount (you won't leave hungry). The tour guide was also very knowledgeable. Even though I live in Manhattan, I learned so much about the history of the meatpacking district and Chelsea Market. |

| This is the 1st time i went on a such a tour. I thought that since i live in the city these tours would not really benefit me but that is not true at all. Just walking into a place and wandering through it is not as fulfulling, to know the history and sample foods is a worthwhile experience. |

| Chelsea Market is a wonderful place that I'll be returning to many times. The tour was very informative, well paced, and delicious. But for $100 (tour price plus tip) per couple I wasn't overwhelmed with the awesomeness of the experience - it met, but did not exceed my expectations. I'm probably just a cheap skate, though. I would definitely recommend Chelsea Market and probably this tour to a friend. |
