Enjoyable and engaging tour of Chelsea Market

| My husband and I really enjoyed the history and the food! Our tour guide was informative and a lot of fun. She was knowledgeable about many other areas as well. It was one of the best things we have done in the city in years. |

| I never would have known that the Chelsea Market/meat packing district existed and all the history and interesting facts that Kurt provided about the tour made it even more interesting. Kurt's sense of humor and the fact that he really seemed to enjoy what he was doing made the tour that much more fun. I can't wait to go back to the Market again to buy some of the delicious food we sampled and to eat/hang at the restaurants/bars in the meat packing district.
We were really glad that we took the tour and I have already recommended it to some of my friends. |

| My wife and I are spending more time in Manhattan for business reasons and will be living in Chelsea. So we both really enjoyed getting to know better places that we will be frequenting. Diana was an excellent guide, both knowledgeable and entertaining.
The one thing that I would note is that we were told that we could receive a 10% discount for purchases at the stores we visited on the tour if we told them that we were with "Foods of New York". When we went back right after the tour to make a few purchases, the employees at the stores looked at us like we were crazy and were trying to pull one over on them. Foods of New York should get that straight with the stores, since that was disappointing. (Also tell Diana that oversized wine bottles are named after kings mentioned in the Bible and that Nebuchadnezzar was a Babylonian king. ;-) )
We are looking forward to taking other tours with Foods of New York when time permits. |

| Our guide, Diana, was very friendly and knowledgable about the area. She kept the group moving together. We enjoyed the generous samples at each place. We will recommend it to visitors and are planning to take more. |

| There were a group of nine of us who decided to do the tour in Chelsea this year. Last year many of the women went to the tour in the Village and loved it. I lived in Chelsea for a few years and thought I'd see a lot of new things I haven't experienced, however, the entire tour was based in the Chelsea Market which is not very clear on the Website. Then when you leave the market you get to see three restaurants - but the two best ones you don't even get to have a tasting at their establishment.
However, my biggest complaint was our tour guide. I thought she was rude and extremely unprofessional. Her comments and remarks could have easily offended someone, however, I married a New York boy so I'm used to it. When I asked a simple question of wanting to know where we would be visiting today - she had a tone and was extremely rude!!!
To be honest, I could have given the tour much better and I would have been so much more polite and 'at ease' than she was. You could barely get her to give us enough time to take a picture - and all we wanted was a relaxing day - not a rushed one....very disappointed.

| This was a fun and different type of tour. You really do get full from all of the food you try. Most of the eating part is indoors where it is air conditioned, which was great because it was really hot outside when we were there.
Afterwards we did a walking tour and was told some really interesting facts about the meatpacking district. Our tour guide was very entertaining and fun. There were about 16 in our tour group and most were in pairs by the end of the tour we were all friendly and speaking to one another. I guess thats the power of food!
Again, this was a fun and different tour. We tried a lot of really incredible, high quality food and gained some interesting facts about the neighborhood, just as described by the company. |

| Our guide Cindy was awesome, She had more information to share than time to share it. She was very personable and friendly and kept our attention. It was very apparent that she knew all of the people in the establishments and was well liked, as she said Hi to all by name and they replied with Hi and smiles and even some gifts. Obviously, Cindy enjoys her job and was able to share her passion with us. I would recommend this tour to others with no hesitation. The treats were great and there were plenty of them. No one had to go away hungry! |

| Great tour, great food. The samples were extremely generous and definitely gave a great sampling of the diverse foods in the Market. And our guide was excellent. |

| I really enjoyed this tour. We got to see so much in one area and learn about the culture and history. The food...what can say, it was delicious and non-stop. The samping was not skimpy! I can't wait to try another tour. My tour guide was really funny and he made it all that much for fun. The food was great but it wouldn't be a tour without him! |
