overall we enjoyed the day

We very much enjoyed the day... Cindy (I think) was very entertaining and knowledgeable. I enjoy learning more about an area that I am travelling to and this truly fulfilled my needs. One suggestion, the 4 of us were disappointed by lunch. Not because the content, that was good, but because of the build up to "preparing our feast." I would suggest she tone it down a little and mention a very nice antipasta. Thanks for requesting feedback.

Chelsea Market Tour Worthwhile

Visiting a neighborhood of NYC, where people work and call home, was a treat for a tourist in a city, almost too large to comprehend. Walking through the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District put a human face on the City for me. Cindy, our tour guide, was energetic and knowledgeable. She seemed sincere in her affection for the area. My suggestions for improvements are two: first, to reduce the size of the group to something more intimate, maybe 12. And second, to spend less time in the Chelsea Market and more time in the Meatpacking District. In the Meatpacking District, maybe the tour could walk through one of the operating meat packing houses and go inside one of the restored buildings.

I really liked the tour. Our guide (Kurt) was great. Lots of yummy food. My Dada was visiting from out of town, and he loved it as well. What an interesting neighborhood!

My friend and I really enjoyed this tour. Curt, our tour guide was very informative and funny too! It was interesting to learn the history of the markets in Chelsea. Gave us the oppportunity to try foods that we haven't had before. Met lot of nice folks from other states/countries. It was a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

When we signed up for this tour, we were a bit leery of what we could expect for the price. After the tour, I will be recommending it to everyone going to New York! I liked getting a history lesson to one of NYC neighborhoods and the food was soooo good. We went back for dinner and snacks to take home with us the following day. The tour group was pretty awesome 9/25/05. We got to learn about each other and laughed alot. Our guide, Curt, was well great! He knew the area or at least dazzle us with his bull if he didn't. :) He answered questions during and at the end and that means any question we had except how he knew Larry. I'm a bit disappointed we didn't get to meet Larry or at least see him? Thanks so much for a great experience. Hi to Oklahoma City, Kansas City, North Carolina, New York, Ireland, and Florida panhandle (was that Niceville?)

Well Worth It!!

We enjoyed discovering a part of NYC that we otherwise wouldn't have discovered. The Chelsea Market was wonderful. We especially enjoyed the chance to sit at the table at the back of the Italian restaurant to eat and relax. Our tour guide seemed to have to leave us quite a bit to run to set up the next food tasting though. His name was Kurt I believe. He was funny though and a joy to listen to. We had just done the Greenwich Village tour a few days before and had Mike for our tour guide and he had provided a lot of great history of the Village. I enjoyed hearing about the changes in the meatpacking district and Kurt seemed to have an adequate knowledge of the area. Overall, it exceeded our expectations. The food choices were great. We would definitely recommend to our friends.

A definite "must-do" in our book

The tour was wonderful, and Curt, our guide, was great. He is very knowledgeable and has a quick wit. We all enjoyed him as much as we enjoyed seeing and hearing about the "off the beaten path" New York. The food was plentiful and by the end of the 3 hours we were all feeling quite full. Our weather was beautiful--but even on a rainy day, the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District tour would be fun as a good part of it is inside the Chelsea Market. I definitely would recommend this tour. It was a fun 3 hours and we all felt like we really learned something about the history of the area and got to eat some delicious food on the way.
