I have been on the greenwich village tour twice and the Meat Packing District and both are wonderful. Our guide on the MPD was Curt and he was a hoot and a lot of fun. He made the tour. Thank you, Curt. Dennis from Arkansas

A group of friends and I wanted to try something different, and experience the city at the same time. We couldn't be happier having chosen Foods of New York. We're local, but find there is always something new to find here. Our guide was informative, and loads of fun. Who knew there was so much we didn't know about Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District. Discovering the old and new New York is amazing, and the food was scrumptious. I'd recommend this tour to any one, and look forward to our next try.

I am a repeat food tour visitor, with high expectations after the Greenwich Village tour I took two years ago. This one was just as enjoyable, informative, and entertaining. As a solo tourist in the city, it is the perfect introduction to a new area and a fun way to spend the afternoon. We returned for dinner and more shopping in the area later in our trip.

My wife and I enjoyed all of the food and history that we got from your tour. We love food and history and this was a wonderful mix of both. This tour was the highlight of our five days in NY. We both enjoyed the chance to try all of the foods that were offered to us. Todd was wonderful at giving the tour. We both felt that he enjoyes giving that tour and charing the different foods that one can get at Chelsea Market. Thanks again.

You can walk through Chelsea Market Place and miss some of the MOST important points of interest if you are not on this "somewhat exclusive" tour. Samplings of food and beverages are delightful as is the historical information offered forth by a guide who is energetic and entertaining, as well as informative and intelligent. The meat packing district has quite a bit of history that one would most likely not be privy to if not on this tour. One of the best offerings in the city. We also loved and highly recommend the Greenwich Village food and historical tour.

We were in NY for 7 days. We stayed in the Chelsea area and found the Chelsea market tour online. It was awesome. We saw a lot of things in the 7 seven days we were here and this tour was, by far, the most informative and the most fun we had on this trip. If you are interested in food, history, or a wonderful morning/afternoon, take this tour.

Great tour. The guide was very knowledgable about the area, vendors, history and about the food. The food choices were good, although I would not have chosen two chocolate bread items. I think that a savory bread at the first bakery (we had chocolate sourdough) would have added more balance to the tastes. I found there were too many sweet items at the beginning of the tour, although everything we tasted was excellent and there was enough of it. I would recommend this tour to any fellow foodies visiting New York.

Emeril's "Live" show on the Food Channel piqued my interest in the Chelsea Market, when the TV Studio moved in above the market and various vendors were showcased. Four female family members (three generations) helped me celebrate my 75th BD in New York. My Tucsonian daughter-in-law, the "activity planner", asked me what I most wanted to see and I replied, "The Chelsea Market". By the next day, she had found your tour on the internet and booked our group for what was a highlight of our brief visit. Todd is a wonderful guide. He has a pleasant personality, is easy to hear and understand in the busy market and is so very knowledgeable. You can tell that he thoroughly enjoys what he does. The tour of this huge old block-sized building, with its history as the Nabisco Baking Company and the story of its recent development into a multi-use facility is fascinating. The vendors themselves as well as the very generous tastings are terrific. The tour of the Meatpacking District was educational and amazing! This is a neighborhood going through a huge transition, propelled by the Chelsea Market and other new ventures. With 25 meat packing plants left of the more than 100 previously operating there and the cleanup of a number of unsavory and notorious activities, it is becoming a safe and enjoyable place to shop, dine and stay. Todd's extensive knowledge of the history of the area made it all come alive. I especially had great fun poking my head inside the Hogs and Heifers to see the bras hanging on the antlers above the bar and hearing the female bartenders use their bullhorn to "welcome Grandma inside".
