| We had a truly fantastic time on this tour. It was a cold, blustery day out, but as other reviews have stated, this particular tour takes place mostly indoors. We were inside for the first two hours, and even in the last hour, we were only outside for at most 10 minutes at a time. So this one is perfect for the winter months.
Due to the weather, my husband and I were the only two people on the tour. This could potentially have been uncomfortable, but happily, we LOVED Kurt (sp?) the tour guide, who was funny, charming, conversational, and infectiously enthusiastic throughout. We both remarked afterwards that it felt like we had spent the afternoon with a friend... who just happened to know all the people and history and restaurants and surroundings of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District like the back of his hand.
Last but not least, the food was amazing. The items may change from tour to tour, but on the day we went, we had an "everything" cookie, gourmet chocolate milk, lobster bisque, organic bread, a sampling of various Italian foods, cheese/preserves/crackers, fruit spreads with biscuits, berry tea and gelato. We are big eaters but were definitely very full by the end. We have been recommending this tour to everyone we know! |

| A group of four friends decided to try one of your food tours. We frequent the city and several of us have lived there a number of years. We thought it might be a fun change from our normal event choices to try the tour. This particular tour of Chelsea/MP district was great. The area has changed so much (for the better)...We most have to compliment our tour guide. She was very informative and shared great/fun tid-bits that had we not gone on the tour but on our own, we would never have had the information and history she was able to provide. Not only would I recommend this particular tour but ask for Diana as a guide again.

| This was one of the top 5 days of my life. Curt, our guide, was phenomenal. His depth of knowledge and his humor made the experience so enjoyable, that I hated to see it end. He added so many personal touches to the day! Chelsea Market was beyond all my expectations. My only disappointment was not getting to view any of the Food Network Studios but all in all, I would do this tour again any time! |

| The only thing that we thought might improve the tour is the order in which the foods are presented. We felt it would be better to start withthe Fish and Italian place and finish with the cookies, milk and ice cream. I don't know if it is structured the way it is because of the location of the places in the building or what, be we both felt this would make the tour even better!!! |

| I went to the Greenwich Village tour in the summer with a group of friends. It was recommended by a friend who attended the Chelsea Market tour a few months prior. We all loved the Greenwich Village tour and I could not wait to share a similar experience with my family over thanksgiving weekend. I was rather disappointed. We all enjoyed the tour, but I would have to say it was just okay. After discussing my experience with my friend who had nothing but wonderful things to say about it, I realized all the differences. She mentioned a few different "tastes" her group had received. This included gelato cones and kitchen sink cookies. I am sure each tour varies a bit with the food and places they stop. She also mentioned entering quite a few restaurants including the roof of the Gansevoort hotel and bathrooms at Morimoto. Again, I realize changes occur and tour guides differ, but I think this was very different. I really enjoyed my first experience in the summer, but am hesitant to recommend this experience again after last weekend. |

| -Recommend for locals and tourists alike (I'm a recent resident to NYC)
-This tour is good for inclement weather (temperature or rain) as the first couple of hours are inside the Chelsea Market. It would also be good for those interested in a tour but not wishing to walk long distances (ie I was thinking of my mum visiting soon and not wanting to have her walk a lot)
- The tour is a great blend of history, food and fun and is well managed and organized
- Plan to set aside some money post tour as you will want to pick up something from every spot
- In summary worth every dollar spent! |
