LOVED it. Our tour guide really made it--going above and beyond--adding in interesting stories, insights, observations, facts--and going over the time to show us the amazing interiors of local restaurants. One drawback if you're going for lunch--it wasn't very food hearty -- lots of tastings -- but of tea, milk, jam, potato chips, gellato, a cookie, soup, and one stop with olives, cheese, and sliced meat. |

Samson enthusiastically led us on a tour through the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District. We already live in NY but learned so much about the area that we didn't already know. Samson was very engaging, made time to answer questions, and never make you feel hurried. He was very personable and knew many of the store owners by name. The tour was a "sampling" of a lot of different restaurants but we were pretty stuffed by the time that it was over. I highly recommend visiting The Lobster Place and Sarabeth's for their delicious fare. It was a great way to spend Sunday afternoon. I hope to see Samson on a future tour! |

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Manhattan. Our host was lots of fun and very informative. We recommend this tour to anyone who has any interest in food and learning about the Meat Packing district. Our expectations were surely exceeded. |

This was a fun tour, but not as fun and informative as the Greenwich Village tour. Also thought the Chelsea tour had a very skimpy amount of food compared to the other tour. |

A 16 person group is too large for what you are trying to do. It is unmanageable. The group overloaded the stores and left little room to negotiate. The table in the Italian store was crowded with 8 people. I would cut the group to 12 max.
The store sampling was mediocre- except for the soup and the Italian. The stale cookie and shot glass of chocolate milk was weak, the tablespoon of tea was silly, the gelato was tiny. For what we paid you should get somethin nicer. If I were asked by a friend- I would tell them to walk around and buy a full serving of whatever looked good to them.
The last straw, however, was the tea "lady". She hollered at us for touching stuff in the store, for sitting down in the back, for standing in the front of the store, at a gentleman and his well behaved son for sitting down at the entrance to the store, at my daughter for eating something. The tea sample was miniscule. I told Samson he needed to drop that store from the tour. We were so put off by this rude behavior that we quickly left the tour at that point.
Why does the tour cater to stores who don't want them? |

We had a great tour, the food was wonderful and learned many facts about the vendors and market. I would recommend but not something to do with small children. |

Sampson was great so was the tour of the market with the exception of the rude owner of the T salon. However, sticking your head into a restraunt was not my idea of fun for the last part of the event |

The tour guide was great! He made a point of learning all of our names, although I can't remember his and he was very friendly!! The food was wonderful and we enjoyed learning the history of the building an the area. We highly recomend it! |
