Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Kurt was great!! The food choices were wonderful - something for everyone. He did his very best to accomidate a special dietary need for another party. He was so accomidating. We were able to sample everything!!

Kurt was amazing. He added so much to the tour. His enthusiasm and love of Chelsea Market spread to us like wildfire!! We were so impressed that we booked reservations at De Posto that evening...

Eleven ladies and gentlemen, many of us very old friends who have travelled extensively together , met on a rather overcast and chilly winter day to visit the Chelsea Market. One couple had previously been on the tour, but agreed to do it again. Three of us are New Yorkers who simply love to learn as much as we can about the city of our birth. The rest Jerseyites who, although not always willing to admit it, love New York almost as much. To say we were pleased is just not enough. Each little tasting was excellent and soon we were saying we could not eat another crumb. Still there was more to eat and to learn and we just kept going. Now about Kurt, our tour guide. He was fun and funny, kept us totally amused and engaged. He made sure we were always comfortable and genuinely seemed interested in our reaction to the food, the building and all the wonderful little pieces of trivia about the Market in general. He was completely familiar with the area and answered all questions. In short, the Chelsea Market and Kurt turned our gray day into a great one. Thanks. Diane Ketchell P.S. awesome - our guide kurt (curt) was so knowledgeable - about everything and everywhere. he had great rapport with the shopkeepers which made the whole day that much more comfortable. lots of fun - and a great thing to do with kids - especially the tasting parts!

We did this tour on our first day of this visit to New York staying in a Chelsea hotel. It was a good idea to use this tour get to know the area and get good advice on restaurants for our week in NY. As I am an urban planner I also appreciated the information on the neighbourhoods history and ongoing development and projects.

Enjoyed the Chelsea Market tour this past Sunday. Curt was very knowledgeable and funny.....a great tourguide. Suggested additions: +Coffee or tea at the start +A peak inside the TV Food Network studios +A quick tour of the Wine Vault I am looking forward to taking your other tasting tours in the near future. i can't think of a better way to go through chelsea market and the neighboring meatpacking district. our guide kurt was witty and energetic and all his recommendations were great. the food was delicious and plentiful and although we'd been through chelsea market on our own numerous times before, the tour introduced us to so much more. i highly recommend this for anyone, but for me, it was a perfect date activity.

Tour guide (Kurt) was excellent, knowledgeable, funny, personality plus. Excellent variety of places to visit. Food was great. Nothing negative to add. It was an excellent tour!!
