The tour was very good with great food but I must say that Kirk our guide was the best. He is knowledgable, funny and very engaging. I would take another tour with him without hesitation. This is my third tour with your company and Kirk was the BEST!

This tour combined two of my favorite things: eating and learning about the history of NYC. The guide was knowledgeable, energetic, and humorous. I have already recommended this tour to others.

My husband and I enjoyed the tour very much - we were visiting NYC for a week from western Canada - our first time. The Chelsea Market tour was one of th highlights. Thank you.

Chelsea Mkt/Meatpacking District Food

The tour was AMAZING! Being a NYer, there are many places here that we overlook and Chelsea Market is one of them. Sam was our tour guide and was not only knowledgeable, but kept us amused! The samples of food were not only fresh but different than most NY locations. Amy’s bread was AWSOME which we were able to taste when we stopped at an Italian deli where we were informed the owner was working right at the table with her employees. The history of the location, along with the interesting stores and the items they had which are not as easy to find in many of the local stores in NY. I loved the idea that we were allowed to step into a few of the more exclusive restaurants that many of us would never fathom on going to. Shopping is a must, but several items might be better off picking up after the tour or on the way back on your way home. There are a lot of things that were of interest to purchase and if you are not a native NYer, you might want to take some back with you to savor later. This is definitely something to do with friends, visitors from out of town etc. Not sure if young children would like the tour. Just a few things to remember, first be prepared for the climate and wear comfortable shoes (this is a MUST since there is a lot of walking involved!), second BE ON TIME! Our group ran late and had to catch up with the group. The do leave ON TIME and you should be there early! NY traffic can be horrendous so take the subways, and third, leave all forms of communication in the "OFF MODE" there is just so much information that distractions should be few especially with the number of people that are involved.

Hidden Treasure of NYC

My daughter, who now lives in NYC, and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. She had never been thru the market, and was glad to find this hidden treasure. We have recommended it to her friends as a place to take out of town visitors. We especially enjoyed learning of the history of the region, and would have liked more. Maybe a pamphlet highlighting what is explained rather than just a listing of the shops. The foods were great. All in all a great couple of hours. Next time we shall venture to another district of the city.

This tour was very interesting. I've been to New York many times before and I would never have know this market existed if I hadn't read about it through Zerve. It was very educational and the food sampling was good. It was 3.5 hrs long and by the end, I was getting a little tired. I would have liked to taste more food rather than the sweets. I am looking forward to doing the Village tour. Our guide spoke softly so at times I had trouble hearing him.

Unexpectedly Educational

We had no idea of the history of this area of New York. We signed up for the tour because we had enjoyed previously taking the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour 2 years ago. This was equally as interesting and fun - We think the food tasting may have even been more tasty and we though Greenwich Village was wonderful! Our guide Bob was interesting, knew lots of information, and had a very enjoyable and pleasant sense of humor. Even though it was a warm day, the tour was not strenuous and the amount of time and walking were just about right. We would recommend this tour to anyone.

I take a tour every time I go to NYC...once a month or so....with goal of getting to neighborhoods off the beaten tourist path. I enjoyed the tour leader and the Chelsea Market area, will definetely go back for to the area on my next trip to the City.
