This tour involving the Chelsea Market and nearby terrain was highly informative and fun. Being from the area, I found this tour to be a bit more touristy than some of the other tours I've been on, however we learned a ton about the development of the meatpacking district as well as about all of the noteworthy delicacies food network stars love to sample in the Chelsea market. Our guide was highly knowledgeable and friendly. I would also recommend this tour to those who can't walk long distances, because there was limited walking, compared to the West Village/ Soho cultural food tour. Overall A+. |

My daughter, who now lives in NYC, and I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. She had never been thru the market, and was glad to find this hidden treasure. We have recommended it to her friends as a place to take out of town visitors. We especially enjoyed learning of the history of the region, and would have liked more. Maybe a pamphlet highlighting what is explained rather than just a listing of the shops. The foods were great. All in all a great couple of hours. Next time we shall venture to another district of the city. |

We had a really pleasant afternoon with Bob learning about the area and eating great food. Chelsea Market was a neat place we would have missed it we had skipped this tour. The company made a special effort to take care of my vegetarian husband. We would recommend this tour to locals and visitors both. |

The tour was fantastic in every aspect. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the area with plenty of interesting facts. He was very approachable for questions and spent lots of time with the group.
The tour itself was well thought out. The food tastings were delicious and varied, which kept our interest level high. We enjoyed being able to go into each store, learn about its place in the food industry, and then sample what they have to offer. After the tour was through we were full, and so there was no question we got our money's worth.
The second half, the Meatpacking district, was likewise fun. I would have liked to sample the food in the restaurants we entered (Del Posto, Buddha Bar, etc), but just learning about them was a good experience.
If there is one complaint, it's that we did not know about the tour sooner. More marketing would be great! We are definitely going to recommend this to our friends. |

Most informative - enjoyed culture and history as much as food - did not appreciate tour guide soliciting tips at beginning of tour - he was certainly woth a tip and I would have done voluntarily - tackey to suggest. |

The tour was delightful and we were served more food than expected! Our guide, Cindy, was really fun and knowledgeable. Interesting mix of people in our group, so it was nice to meet tourists from London in addition to the Bronx! |

After seeing Emeril trot on down to the Chelsea market for the umpteenth time, I could no longer resist having a look around. Found out about this tour online, hey why not? Nice way to pass an afternoon. Cindy was our guide, lots of fun and very savvy. Went back to the Market afterwards to shop for restaurant quality fruit, veg, meat, fish, dairy (don't miss Ronnybrook Farms - creamline milk - yum), desserts. This market has it all. Enjoy! I recommend bringing an insulated bag (mine came in handy). I'll be back. |
