Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

We had planned this trip to New York for over a year---thinking the Macy's parade would be the highlight --- 3 out of 4 of us feel that this tour kicked Macy's parade out of first place by quite a large margin---the guide, the 'history' lesson, the businesses, the food---all of it greatly exceeded any of our expectations. We would all highly recomend this tour as a must do while in New York

This is my second experience with Zerve & Food Tours and am I happy to hear that another tour is now available. As a Brit living in New York and having a plethora of British visitors, this is a most pleasant and civilized method of showing off the city. The guides are kind, experienced and educated, I am amazed at the depth of thier involvment with the research. Thank you.

We enjoyed the tour very much, the tour guide, Darryl, was the best. We especially enjoyed all the food we ate in the process.

My wife and I had an incredible time on this tour. Daryl (spelling?) was a fantastic guide. I would do this tour again, and highly recommend it to people visiting NYC.

Our guide, Kurt (hope I spelled his name right!), was incredible! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it, if Kurt were the guide! He made the entire afternoon both informative and entertaining. We almost scrapped our plans for later and took the tour of Greenwich with him. Thanks again for such a great time.

Concept for tours is a great idea: food snacks plus history. Hope you expand to other areas: hell's kirtchen, upper east side, upper west side, broadway (probably longer and more history, etc. You might have a problem getting 5757,Picholine, Four Seasons, Beacon,etc. to buy in, but - hey - they are interested in tourist business, too. I'll be back next year.

Took this tour even though Husband and kids were very doubtful. We ALL loved it. Guide Kurt (Kirk?) was full of energy and enthusiasm and answered all our questions wonderfully. Very interesting and informative tour. HUGE "samples" to taste...so don't eat before you go! Great time. Fun. Entertaining. Educational. FILLING! :)

Food tasting @ Chelsea Market is wonderful! They even accommodated one member of our party who is allergic to shell fish. Our guide, Darryl, was witty, knowledgeable, and just a good time. The food tasting was delicious and the history of the meatpacking district was really interesting. You will learn things that you never knew! Food, fun people, and interesting history! What more could you want!!

Awesome tour and guide. If you want to experience the sights, sounds, and real New Yorkers this is the tour to take!

Received a great recommendation from a friend who did the Greenich Village Tasting tour and decided to take my family on the Chelsea market tour. The tour was fantastic. Tour guide was nice, entertaining, very informative. The Chelsea market is fantastic. The tastings were very good and we learned alot during the tour about the Market, its history and about the individual businesses that we were visiting and the ones that we were not. The tastings were well chosen. The tour outside was very informative about how the chelsea area has changed so much from the meatpacking district. We did have a disadvantage that day since they were filming a movie but our tour guide did the best he could with the limitations. I would highly recommend the tour and consider the tastings your lunch!
