| This was our 2nd tour with Food Tours. We have already done the Village tour. Our tour guide both times was Kurt. We didnt request him the 2nd time but we were very lucky to get him again. He is extremely funny and very energetic. He talks throughout the tour and never sounds rehearsed at any point. He makes every stop a lot of fun. All the stops in the tour were great. I loved Eleni's Bakery. We even stopped there after the tour for some of their wonderful cupcakes.
After seeing the entire market, Kurt took us out into the neighborhood. Even without food samples, he made this section extremely interesting.
We recommend this tour to everyone we meet. We have purchased this tour as a gift. We enthusiastically recommend this tour to everyone!! Kurt is the best!! |

| Really enjoyable tour, full of interesting facts. What really made it, was the tour guide who was so much fun. Would highly recommend it, even our 14 year old daughter enjoyed it. |

| My expectations of the tour were to learn and see something about the history of the meatpacking district. Yes, the title of the tour says chelsea mkt /...... still I hoped to see more of the other part of the title. Instead most part of the tour was spend inside the market.
The market itself was nice, the food-tasting was OK, but if you don't mind missing some explanatory details and marketing of the shops you can do this on your own easily too.
Finally outside the market strolling around the area was nice and interesting.
Regarding the organization this was more than ok and very good arranged. The guide Sam was on-time and very entertaining, so a big plus for him!
Conclusion; all was well guided and organized, but I would not do it again. I will read other peoples comments first before booking a tour to be sure it will meet my expectations. |

| We are technically but not really tourists up a few times a year to see relatives that live in the city. Found good reviews on citysearch of these tours and decided to check one out. What a great decision. This was anything but cheesy with great info and food along the way. Enough to fill you up for lunch and then some. The tastings are also spread out from beginning until almost the end, so you don't get too full too quick but also arent left starving until some big meal at the end. We both really enjoyed this and will most likely try to go on one of the other tours on our next trip. Thanks Bob for a great tour! Joel and Jenny |

| This tour was very worthwhile. I enjoyed the food samplings and the meatpacking district cultural background. Our guide was very friendly and well informed. Altogether, a rewarding experience. |

| This is a great experience! Can't think of a better way to learn about the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District, both historically and present day. The food samples along the way are more than adequate. Can't wait to try one of the other tours on our next visit to the City! |

| Our tour guide, Sam, did a great job. He was enthusiastic, personable, and knowledgeable. However, I was expecting more food samples (especially from the higher end restaurants). It also seemed like we spent too much time inside the market, only to rush through the the neighborhood/restaurants. The tour ended very abruptly on top of a building that overlooked the neighborhood. No one seemed to know what the building was or why we were there other than for a bird's eye view. Again, Sam did a great job, but I think the tour was a little overpriced for what we got. |

| We very much enjoyed this tour. Cindy was our guide and she has a lot of energy and passion in sharing her knowledge of the food, people, buildings, history, and overall area. The complete tour lasted just over two and one-half hours but it flew by.
Last December, my wife and I had done the Greenwich Village tour. We enjoyed that one so much that we brought out children (ages 13 & 10) with this time and they loved it as well.
We live in the Washington, DC area and get to NYC once or twice a year. By taking these two tours, we feel we have learned much more about the Greenwich Village and Chelsea. In fact, we were able to share some new information about Greenwich with a couple of Manhattanites.
Our plan is to do a different food tour each time we come to the city. |
