After seeing Emeril trot on down to the Chelsea market for the umpteenth time, I could no longer resist having a look around. Found out about this tour online, hey why not? Nice way to pass an afternoon. Cindy was our guide, lots of fun and very savvy. Went back to the Market afterwards to shop for restaurant quality fruit, veg, meat, fish, dairy (don't miss Ronnybrook Farms - creamline milk - yum), desserts. This market has it all. Enjoy! I recommend bringing an insulated bag (mine came in handy). I'll be back. |

We always enjoy seeing the local side of NY, and this fit the bill. Kurt was informative and entertaining and so enthusiastic. He combined history and humor and gave us a look at a neighborhood on the move. The food was superb and plentiful. This tour was a highlight of our weekend trip. Thanks, Kurt! |

I took this tour on October 13th with my visiting family from New Hampshire, my daughter and her boyfriend, and good friends from Queens. This tour was more than we had hoped for. We all had a terrific time. Our tour guide, Kurt was the best. His energy, knowledge, and personality was astounding. The food samples were excellent. I enjoyed walking through the meat packing district, escpecially since I've never visited that part of NYC. It was fun learning about the history of the area and seeing how the neighborhood is developing. I highly recommend this tour! |

If your looking for something different to do while in NYC...definately add this to you list. Gets you away from the tourists & crowds of people in Times Square. Gives you an opportunity to take in a different part of the city and I found it very enjoyable & informative. Definately worth adding to your list of events while taking in the sites. |

I made the reservations because my mother loves the Food Network. It did not disappoint, in fact it surpassed my expectations and we were thrilled with our guide Samson. My mother, Carol, is "mobility-challenged" and uses a scooter. Samson made sure she was not lost in the back and made every effort to accomodate her. Samson was knowledgeable, humorous and entertaining. For anyone who likes to combine food AND history, this tour should not be missed. |

Our guide Kurt went over and above the call of duty to give us and the rest of our group a wonderful experience. The things we saw and tasted were puctuated by the information and experience that Kurt brought to the tour.
I would definitely not only recomend the tour to anyone who is a "foodie" but I will take the tour again the next time I am in NYC!

Never knew about the Chelsea Market....now we do!! What a fabulous place for the tour and what a building! Sampson was wonderful and we learned lots of interesting info about the building. Lots of food...more than I thought we would have. Highly recommend to visitors or locals who have not been in the meatpacking district. |

It was a terrific tour of the Chelsea market. The food was great (especially liked the Italian grocery and all the samples we tasted) and we found it very interesting. The tour of the outside area was not necessary though. It seems like that could have beeen done as a separate tour. I would recommend this tour though. Bring your appetites! We had a great time! |
