This was a great tour. The guide was personable and had a great sense of humor. He knew a lot about the area and about food and dining. Everything we sampled was delicious, and we definitely did not need lunch afterward. |

I love this tour. I had taken it two years ago, and when a group of friends were deciding what to do on a girls weekend in the city I suggested this. All five of them loved it. Our guide was wonderful, and although the tour was essentially the same, he added his own point of view to the tour so it was definitely worth doing again.
We loved the new addition of the salt tasting - very different, and very interesting.
The food was great, and the "sample" portions were big - truly enough for a meal.
We all would recommend the tour to others and plan on taking the Greenwich Village tour in the future.

A friend of mine had recommended this trip to me - a week before I arrived in NYC (book early - as spaces are snapped up). I thought it would be good, but it was one of the highlights of our trip to New York. Cindi, our guide, was an absolute marvel. Extremely knowledgable, very friendly and welcoming and overall a funny lady! The food was secondary only to Cindi's narrative. And the food was something else - particularily the croissant from Amy's Bakery. Legendary. So my advice - if you want something to do that's a little off the normal tourist route, whilst at the same time getting excellent entertainment, value for money and, obviously, good food. Book a space - and book it now!!

My husband and I went on the tour this past Saturday. This tour and the tour guide Cindy was one of the highlights of our visit to the City. The market in the old Nabisco facility was incredible, it was so interesting to learn the history of the building. The outdoor meatpacking part of the tour was very interesting too.
This is a tour that is definitely recommended, the food that we sampled was well worth the price of the ticket to go on the tour.
The next time I visit the city with my girlfriends, We will go on this tour even though I have been once, it is something that should not be missed. |

I went on this tour with my husband and another couple. We are very happy we did it. We learned so much history about the building the market is located in. We were very pleased with our tour guide. She could have talked a little bit louder because of all the noise in the market, but she was very informative and had a great sense of humor. We sampled food and baked goodies that we wanted desperately to go back and purchase so we could bring stuff back home. Unfortunately we didn't have time to go back to the market, but we will definitely go back again next time we come to the big apple. You also learn alot about the Meat Packing District on this tour. I highly recommend this tour. We have also taken the Greenwich Village walking tour and we loved that one also (same company). Our bellys were very full when the tour was over. Don't hesitate on this one! |

Our tour guide was Cindy. She was great! Very enthusiastic, friendly and full of energy. She took very good care of us and made sure everyone got samples of the food, always made sure the whole group was together, and she's very knowledgeable about the area! Give that woman a raise! :)
I've already recommended the tour to all of my friends. |

I though the tour was ok and the tour guide was good. but there is not much in the chelsea market to see and we spend 3 hours when a half an hour would have been more than enough. I have been to better markets and the food (although good) was a bit touristy. Most of the buildings contain tv studios (which you cant get to see) and seem wasted as the building is a little quirky. My advise save the cash go down there for a quick look around by yourself and do something else for the rest of the afternoon. |

seven of us..........three childhood friends with their four grown daughters enjoyed a bonding experience and thought the tour was absolutely great. Though the mothers had all been to Chelsea Market only a year ago, we were expecting a little disappointment in seeing the same place twice.. We said we were going for the daughters. Were we ever surprised at how much we learned and how much we saw that we had never seen the first time. The guide was personable, funny, very knowledgable. VERY KNOWLEDGABLE. We would all do it again in a heart beat and we loved all the exercise we got from walking. The meat packing district was equally as great.DId we mention the food? The tastings were so delicious. We would all highly recommend the tour. Take the Greenwich Village tour also......you won't be disappointed. |
