Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

We went on the Chelsea Market tour with a group of seven - including one person in a wheelchair and two food-savvy children (aged 8 and 10). There was something for everyone on this tour, and our guide Cindy kept us all eating and laughing and very well informed. There also wasn't a hitch with the wheelchair - Cindy helped us navigate beautifully. As for the food, our favorites were the soup at the Lobster Place, Sarabeth's biscuit and jam, and Macelleria at the end. My one quibble is that the first tasting is a cupcake, which was hard to enjoy so early in the day. I've taken this tour before, and I love to remember all the great stuff I learned about Chelsea Market every time I go in there. It was the perfect thing to do when family came to town!!

I was looking for something fun to do with our friends from Connecticut and this was a great time! My husband and I are originally from NYC so we have always had the luxury of coming into the city and walking around and we found that this tour offered us an educational experience of the area we already loved. The places that were chosen as part of the restaurant were great! Food was amazing! Our tour guide, Cindy, was phenomenal. She was super friendly and knowledgeable of the area and the history behind the restaurants. I highly recommend the tour to anyone who wants a taste of the city. You get plenty of food in the tour as well as the history behind what you are eating. We were very pleased with the portions of food and they were of excellent quality. We are looking forward to booking our next tour with foods of New York!

The food was excellent. A nice sampling of many different things. Our tour guide Bob was very informative and had the perfect personality for this type of tour. Liked the smaller group size (14). My only suggestion would be to serve regular milk vs. chocolate after sampling Eleni's fabulous and very rich cupcake.

our guide Bob was such a joy and fun to be with and the food on this tour was fantastic!!! I would sure go again. Plus, I just recommened this tour to another friend. I've been on other food tours and they were in no way as good as this. A million smiles all the way!

My husband and I were given the Chelsea food tasting tour as an anniversary gift from our children. Our guide, Bob, was very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We enjoyed both the tour and the tastings and also enjoyed meeting the other members of the group. We will certainly sign up for some of the other tours available.

This was a ver enjoyable day trip we took with friends. We got to enjoy some of the tasty delights along with the history of the building and surrounding area. Our tour guide Daryl had such a wealth of knowledge that kept our attention wanting for more fun details.

Our group has done the other 2 Greenwich Village tours and loved..loved..loved them. This one was disappointing compared to expectations. Part was the guide seemed disconnected to the group. It wasn't the worst and first timers might think it was great.

I was on this tour for the second time accompanying my 14 year old. We both enjoyed the location, food tastings and guide, Cynthia. The history of the building and neighborhood was covered in great detail in a very upbeat, enthusiastic way. After the tour we headed back to the Marketplace and did our own shopping from our tastings. Highly recommend this tour, actually any tours from this company. All have been great.

Excellent food tastings! Darryl, our tour guide, was fabulous...both in his knowledge of the area and he was personable and entertaining. Highly recommend this tour!
