We thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District. Our guide was very entertaining, and knowledgeable. We had samples to enjoy along the way and enough venues to keep the tour interesting.

Green Village was my first choice, however, I think this is better tour for me. I won't go in deep Chelsea Market since only few info and limited day in my NY trip. Me,from Taiwan, and my friend, who came from the UK, had great time. We even changed our itinerary to visit Chelsea dis again. We had inexpensive oyster in lobster place and a great dinner in Pastis, the recommonded French bistro. It's really worth to participate if you want to experience some local taste. ^_^

Who doesn't enjoy learning something about where they live, or used to live and get to sample culinary tidbits from choice businesses? As an ex-native of the city, revisitng with a friend and taking the Chelsea/Meatpacking Tour was infomative and well worth the few hours of walking around the area. Our guide (not a native) was up to date with his information and obviously a keen and knowledgeable citizen of the city and it's history. We especially enjoyed the less known destinations (rooftop pool and bar of a local hotel) and hints on where to shop. Although the price seems a bit high for a walking tour, the food easily made up for the price. We both agreed to try out the other tours on our next visits, and highly recommend this tour. What a great way to spend an afternoon.

Great tour!

I enjoyed this tour so much the first time I went (as part of a professional meeting), I took friends with me a second time. Chelsea Market is a unique retailing concept and the tasting tour gives the consumer great insight that they wouldn't otherwise get. The tour guide is knowledgable, has good stories, and is effective in maximizing the customer experience. The tour is a little pricey, but it will replace one or two meals for the day making it a worthwhile expenditure. You will not leave hungry - you will be making plans to return for lunch on another day! If I were asked ways to improve, I would edit the tour of the Meat Packing District some; that third hour is hard - interesting, but tiring!

I really enjoyed this tour. We got to see so much in one area and learn about the culture and history. The food...what can say, it was delicious and non-stop. The samping was not skimpy! I can't wait to try another tour. My tour guide was really funny and he made it all that much for fun. The food was great but it wouldn't be a tour without him!

My daughter bought my wife and I tickets for this tour. She works in a building across from the Chelsea Mkt. It was a great tour- loved the food and the information.

Lots of food, vegetarian/food allergy friendly!

With Bob as our tour guide, my group (consisting of my parents and myself), had an excellent time, learned a lot and most importantly, ate lots of food! Being a vegetarian with an allergy to nuts, I was leary at first of being able to participate in all the food tastings. When I purchased the tickets I was suprised to be asked if there were any vegetarians or members with food allergies. The tour guide did a wonderful job of providing me with multiple alternative tastings along the way, all meat and nut free! I was a little disappointed that we did not get a chance to learn more about each food establishment, see how the food was made or speak to any of the owners. I know that time was an issue, especially because we were doing both chelsea market and the meat packing district, and also not many owners are around on the weekend. It could be a great idea for the future to have a week day tour of just chelsea market that became more exstensive and behind the scenes at the various shops. Overall, both my parents and I had a great time. I can't wait to get back to Chelsea market with my boyfriend and friends, now that I know what fabulous things it has to offer!
