A group of us went to New York and the only thing on MY list was the walking food tour of Chelsea Marketplace and the Meatpacking District. I was not disappointed! And while we did lots of wonderful things while visiting New York (Theatre, tours, walks and great restaurants) the tour remains my favorite. It was informative, historical, tasty and fun. Bob was our tour guide and he was the best. Not only would I recommend it to friends but I would do it again! |

What a great food tasting tour this was! Bob was an outstanding guide in every respect. There was a huge variety of tastings at the Chelsea Market and then a tour of key sights in the Meatpacking district culminating in a visit to the top floor bar of a hotel.Do not hesitate to take this tour.It was definitely a highlight of our stay in New York |

We enjoyed the food tour and learning all the history of the Market and the surrounding area. Having places to sit were really appreciated, since we are older, but there wasn't ever enough seating for the entire group. We felt there should have been more diverse offerings at some of the places we toured. Our tour guide was excellent! |

We had no idea of the history of this area of New York. We signed up for the tour because we had enjoyed previously taking the Greenwich Village Tasting Tour 2 years ago.
This was equally as interesting and fun - We think the food tasting may have even been more tasty and we though Greenwich Village was wonderful!
Our guide Bob was interesting, knew lots of information, and had a very enjoyable and pleasant sense of humor. Even though it was a warm day, the tour was not strenuous and the amount of time and walking were just about right.
We would recommend this tour to anyone. |

I loved it. Our tour guide was really well informed and highly entertaining. He made it very personal, remembered everyone's names and kept us all laughing. His knowledge was excellent and I thought he'd covered a lot in three hours and there was a lot of stuff that would not be covered in guide books. The food was great and it was a lovely way to see the city and not do something too obviously 'touristy', I was the only 'foreign' person on the tour, everyone else was American....!
I would recommend it to all my friends, both American and British and would certainly do another tour. |

Had a great time on this tour. Learned about the area, loved the samples of food. Kurt, our guide, was fabulous. Wonderfully enthusiastic, knowledgeable, fun. The other people on the tour were friendly and warm. The weather was perfect. Looking forward to another tour before the weather gets too cold. |

Based on the high recommendations from others, we signed up for this and really enjoyed the tour. I now believe the testimonials and you can trust every word written. Our guide, Bob was exceptionally knowledgeble about the Meatpacking District, it's history and future growth pattern and his passion for great food also came through during his tour. We did not feel rushed and every stop gave us a different perspective both historically and tastes. Our favorites were the Lobster Place (Soups!) and the tasty treats. We will definitely not hesitate to try another tour on our next visit to NYC. On our flight back to California, we watched Rachel Ray feature the MPD on her show and all the places we visited under the expert guidance of Bob. Don't hesitate to book this tour early, they do sell out each weekend. |

This was a pleasant surrpise for my friends & I. The shopping mall was filled with a good variety of eateries & shops but what made it unique was learning the history on how the mall came to be. The 3 hr tour passed quickly & we were sad to leave the tour and our guide, Bob, who was extremely informative & witty. I highly recommend this to anyone who is interested in food & a little history. |
