I made the reservations because my mother loves the Food Network. It did not disappoint, in fact it surpassed my expectations and we were thrilled with our guide Samson. My mother, Carol, is "mobility-challenged" and uses a scooter. Samson made sure she was not lost in the back and made every effort to accomodate her. Samson was knowledgeable, humorous and entertaining. For anyone who likes to combine food AND history, this tour should not be missed.

Never knew about the Chelsea Market....now we do!! What a fabulous place for the tour and what a building! Sampson was wonderful and we learned lots of interesting info about the building. Lots of food...more than I thought we would have. Highly recommend to visitors or locals who have not been in the meatpacking district.

We enjoyed the food tour and learning all the history of the Market and the surrounding area. Having places to sit were really appreciated, since we are older, but there wasn't ever enough seating for the entire group. We felt there should have been more diverse offerings at some of the places we toured. Our tour guide was excellent!

I never dreamed that a tour would include so much fine food tasting! The food was excellent, the tour educational and the tour guide had so much information and was so entertaining I wished the tour could be longer! It was so much more than I expected!

This tour was recommended to me by a friend, and I am so glad that I took it. The guide was excellent and so informative. The tasting was so much fun and I had no idea that the Chelsea Market had so much to offer. I highly advise taking the tour. My granddaughter was with me and she is 18. She enjoyed the tour as much as I did and was never bored.

This food tour centered mostly around the Chelsea Marketplace, and it was very informative about not only the large wholesale food providers, but also the history of the building. It covered the building's past lives including the restoration and revival to its form today. The last part of the tour took us outside and around the neighborhood. It is a fascinating part of the city that is now in a major transition. All of the tastings were in the marketplace-I wish we had had some tastings in a couple of the restaurants outside. The tastings included too many sweets for my palate-would have enjoyed more "real food" from restaurants etc. But it was well worth it-there was a lot of food, and you definitely won't go hungry!
