We enjoyed learning about the Chelsea Market history and what it has become today - a thriving & vital marketplace as well as home to highly successful business enterprises. The food samples were excellent! Our tour guide was knowledgeable & entertaining & we enjoyed the comraderie of the group. The Meatpacking district was also very interesting - so ecclectic - with the contrasts of the old with the new. We had hoped for more time walking around this area on the tour & learning more about it - possibly entering into one of the operating meatpacking wherehouses & having a tour, if allowed. |

We had so much fun and learned so much on this tour!! Our tour guide, Cindy, was entertaining and very knowledgable. We loved every bit of food that we tasted and ended up spending the entire day and night in this really fun area. Considering we had very diverse ages and interests in our group (ages 70 to 38, foodies to folks who eat anything) we all found this to be one of our best experiences in New York. My cousin loved the tasting of Ronneybrook farm milk . . . she said it was so good it almost made her cry!
We took Cindy's recommendation and ate at Macelleria, which was superb. I wish we would have gone back the next night and eaten at Spice Market!! Oh well, next time. |

Such a fun way to experience the Meat Packing District and what a treasure trove of bargains. Forget Zabars...When we get the craving for smoked salmon...we'll contact the Lobster Place in Chelsea Market for great prices!!!! Our guide was alot of fun and very knowledgeable(sp) about the area and its history and it was just so much fun to learn about the area. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a extra-ordinary take on NYC. Thank you so much...

My Girlfriend and I have wanted to do this for a while. So I got us tickets,
We had a blast. Our guide was great, we had a fun group of people.
This is an activity that we wouldn't have done on our own but had a great time with the group and are looking forward to doing another tour sometime soon.

Great tour, great food. The samples were extremely generous and definitely gave a great sampling of the diverse foods in the Market. And our guide was excellent. |

I booked this tour for a school project with my group (we're doing NYC foods). None of us were sure if the tour would be helpful, considering we are doing a thesis project, not a report. To our surprise, the tour was incredibly helpful and has inspired us. In addition, it was a complete blast! The tour guide was a riot and had lots of information, the food was TERRIFIC, and it was overall just a good time. I highly recomend this to people of all ages, whether they be students, tourists, food consesours, or people just looking for a good time. Two thumbs up!!! |

We thought this tour was just great! We got a lot of history and backround and it was still fun and interesting. I've been on some guided tours that are quite boring. I think the limited size of the group had a lot to do with it. The food was great. There was a large variety, everything from soup to salted chocolate. We were offered seconds and almost every stop if we wanted more. All in all it was a very fun afternoon. (Bob our tour guide was great!) |

What a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon, our tour guide Bob Gelber was a wealth of knowledge who would have known there was so much history to learn about Chelsea Market. The food was excellent and plentiful, our favorites were the Lobster Bisque and Biscuits and Fruit Spread! We were stuffed halfway through. I loved watching our tour guide with the Lobster! As a New Yorker it's rare that you find things to do in the city that you didn't know about-not only did we have a great time, but our Tour guide added humor to the tour to make it very enjoyable even walking through the meatpacking district in the POURING RAIN!!!!!! I recomend this to anyone coming to new york and living in new york! This is a tour for everyone |
