I enjoyed the tour and found it to be very informative with current relevant information and with historical information on the building/area. Tour guide was very nice and informative. Would have like info on all shops located in Chelsea Market.
Looking forward to participating in Greenwich tour. |

This food tour centered mostly around the Chelsea Marketplace, and it was very informative about not only the large wholesale food providers, but also the history of the building. It covered the building's past lives including the restoration and revival to its form today. The last part of the tour took us outside and around the neighborhood. It is a fascinating part of the city that is now in a major transition. All of the tastings were in the marketplace-I wish we had had some tastings in a couple of the restaurants outside. The tastings included too many sweets for my palate-would have enjoyed more "real food" from restaurants etc. But it was well worth it-there was a lot of food, and you definitely won't go hungry! |

I enjoyed the tour and all of the food tastings. I thought the tour was managed very well. The tour guide clearly added to our enjoyment of the tour. I would recommend it to others I know travelling to NY. |

An excellent insight into one of the historical and upcoming areas in New York. This gave us a real feel for a part of NY that we would not have had time to see. Also it allowed us to see and taste good range of quality foods in a short space of time. The benefit for us was that we can now go back in our own time and experience the highlights.
The host was informative and welcoming. |

My wife and I learned about the stores in Chelsea Market that we hear so much about on TV. However, it was more that just a tour because we learned about the meat packing industry in New York, the renovations taking place in this area and visited several of the restaurants and one hotel in the area. Tour guide was outstanding. |

My 19 year daughter and I have been going to NYC during spring break for the past three years. I came across the Chelsea Market food tour on the internet and we decided to give it a try. We had a nice variety and plenty of food. Our tour guide, Darrell, was great. He was informative, interesing, and had a good sense of humor. We did the tour at the end of our NYC stay, but I recommend it for the beginning in case you would want to revisit some of the shops and/or restaurants. |

Bob was very knowledgable about history of the area and particularly recent changes in the neighborhood. The variety of food samplings was a diverse lunch. |

This is a real treat for food and history lovers; the variety of places where we stopped for tastings was great, although we had dessert first. (Life is short, right?) As a bonus, our group spied THE Rachael Rae shopping with her husband in several of the shops we visited. Our guide Bob, although fairly new to his job as a tour guide, gave a nice overview of the Chelsea Market and the surrounding Meatpacking District including some restaurant recommendations. We also visited the wine cellar at Del Posto, Mario Batali's new restaurant in the Meatpacking District.(No tasting.) An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon in NYC. |
