My compliments. Another proof that it comes all down to the tour guide. In our case Bob was just the perfect tour guide providing the perfect mix, of history facts, funny stories and good tastings - all with the right attention to detail. Thanks, Bob!

Our guide, Sam, was excellent. He was very well informed, well spoken, and provided a lot of laughs along the way. Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed the tour, and are planning to do a different one in the Fall. Hopefully, we can request Sam to be our guide.

I have been on all three food tours. This tour covers the smallest area. Two hours and twenty minutes take place in the ten (?) year old market and only the last 40 minutes take place outdoors in a 4-5 block area surrounding the market. I would have prefered to explore the neighborhood and old establishments which have been around for decades like the other two tours do. I still enjoyed the tour. Our guide, Sam. was top-notch. He was personable (he called everyone by their first name), friendly, funny and seemed to enjoy people. There was more than enough to eat and you are hearing this from someone who can eat a lot. Everything tasted great. My favorite was the soup.

great history, food order needs to change

Hi- I've been on your Greenwich tour as well and I prefer that one better than this one: the food was more spaced out with the walking, the order of the food was better. On this tour, we started with a wonderful cookie that should have been the last as dessert. The visit at Buono Italy should have been first with the bread and the meats. Our tour started at 11:30 so that would have made sense to have the first tasting at that time with the meats, cheese and bread. Unfortunately with the way all the eateries are contained in the market, it's understandably hard to space out the walking with the eating. I really enjoyed the history of the area. Most of the walking was done after we left the market, so ... I'd recommend the Greenwich one to friends before I would this tour. I'm going to try the Chinatown one next, so I hope you'll get that up and running in time for the fall weather.

The tour of Chelsea market was spectacular. Our guide was very personable and had a wealth of knowledge about the history of the area. It was nice to be in a smaller group for a more intimate experience. We sampled foods from almost every place in the market and made it well worth the money. I left there completely stuffed!

Our guide was so knowledgable and enthusiastic. When the guide has a good attitude and can answer all your questions, you always learn more! There is so much in one square block. It was never boring, and you just wanted to stay in each spot and buy all their stuff and ask more questions. I would give our guide top rating. I am telling all my friends. It is a great experience and a great gift for anyone coming into town. I am bringing back my whole family!

We really enjoyed our guide,Sam-he was funny and made us all feel comfortable-the food was just so-so with the exception of the lobster bisque-which was fabulous- also we started wiht a cookie -not a good idea-the biscuits were awful-cold and the jam was like from t he supermarket- a hot roll with some fancy butter would be a better option

I took my parents and aunt and uncle on the Chesea Market food tour. Even though I'm a local, I learned a ton about the market and the neighborhood and enjoyed the food immensely. Plus, we were given much more food than I had anticipated in a "tasting". Our guide was entertaining and made it a fun day. I would absolutely recommend this tour.

BOB WAS A GREAT GUIDE ON THIS TOUR OF CHELSEA MARKET AREA. HIS KNOLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THIS AREA WAS EVIDENT AS WE ALL WANTED TO LEARN DETAILS OF THE OLD NABISCO FACTORY AND SURROUNDING AREA. WHILE STROLLING SAMPLING THE MARKETS CULINARY DELIGHTS WE ALL ENGAGED IN GREAT CONVERSATION. WE ALL SURE HAD A GOOD LAUGH PASSING HOGS & HEFFERS THEN TRYING TO SNEEK A PEEK INTO THE BUDA BAR WHERE WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY A VERY RUDE GENTLEMAN. ( OUR U.S. DOLLARS WERE NO GOOD THERE I GUESS THEY ONLY TAKE FRENCH EUROS ) I DON'T WANT TO GIVE ALL THE DETAILS OF THIS TOUR AWAY BUT I AM SURE ANYONE WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME ON THIS ONE . ENJOY AL
