Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

While we enjoyed our guides friendly comments and historical anecdotes, the content of the tour was rather superficial and only really showed what was in Chelea Market--something that seemed almost like an advertisement for the stores or a way to get out-of-towners to spend a bit there. This was not really a tour of Chelsea and the Meat Packing District's culinary offerings. If you want a small bit of history and some nice snacks, this three hour tour is o.k., otherwise, you'll do better with a Zagat and a few hours walking or a proper historical tour.

The tour was a lot of fun - very informative - great tour guide - entertaining but efficient providing lots of fun facts.

Our guide was Kurt and he did a great job. The tour was entertaining and the time passed too quickly. We enjoyed learning about the market and the area and will be returning there often.

My Girlfriend and I have wanted to do this for a while. So I got us tickets, We had a blast. Our guide was great, we had a fun group of people. This is an activity that we wouldn't have done on our own but had a great time with the group and are looking forward to doing another tour sometime soon.

What a perfect way to spend a rainy afternoon, our tour guide Bob Gelber was a wealth of knowledge who would have known there was so much history to learn about Chelsea Market. The food was excellent and plentiful, our favorites were the Lobster Bisque and Biscuits and Fruit Spread! We were stuffed halfway through. I loved watching our tour guide with the Lobster! As a New Yorker it's rare that you find things to do in the city that you didn't know about-not only did we have a great time, but our Tour guide added humor to the tour to make it very enjoyable even walking through the meatpacking district in the POURING RAIN!!!!!! I recomend this to anyone coming to new york and living in new york! This is a tour for everyone

This was the second time I've done one of thse tours and both times, Kurt was our tour guide. It's a great thing to do with people visiting from out of town and also a lot of fun for New Yorkers. Lots of great adn unique food but what we really liked about it is the all the extra history about the areas that Kurt adds during the tour. All very interesting and entertaining stuff. Kurt is a lot of fun and make sure that everyone enjoys the tour. Highly recommended!

We had a great time. The guide, Bob, was enthusiastic and quite knowledgeable. The samplings were great. This was our first NY Food tour with your company. I would definately take another tour.

We had so much fun on the Chelsea Market tour! A ton of information about the area and the Market itself, and tasting at wonderful stores. Our guide, Bob, was low key and truly informative- I had no idea the Market could be so much fun, and after the tour we all went back and shopped for home. I have also taken the Greenwich Village tour, and now cannot wait to take the Soho tour. Truly a great day out for any foodie.

Enjoyed the hisory and the amount of knowledge that the tour guy had. He was warm and friendly. The samples were great and the tour was very good. It was a little too long, but I loved the rest.
