the tour was fabulous and all of the food was great - really went through a full gambit of foods and information about the area. the best part, however, was our tour guide - curt upton. he was absolutely fantastic. he was so enthusiastic and involved everyone from the start. he made a point to learn everyone's names and used them throughout the entire tour. he was funny, motivational and engaging. he could have talked the whole time - talked fast and furiously - but made sure to include everyone and give them a time to shine. i work for a bike tour and rental company here in nyc and was overwhelmingly impressed with this guide. so much so that i am considering sending my guides on tour with curt to show them how its done. my mother was with me an agreed whole-heartedly that curt absolutely made the tour as wonderful as it was.
thanks,
rachel karr

The food was great. The guide was great. The information was interesting. We got to be inside, out of the elements for most of the tour. It was well worth the time and money. |

I thought the tour was interesting, including the historical perspective of the Market and Meatpacking district. I was expecting to try a bit more food and I thought that there wasn't much food (I wasn't quite full at the end of the tour- and I don't need a lot of food), especially for the cost of the tour. Also, our guide was very strict about not buying while on the tour, which I understand to a certain extent. But, especially if people are still hungry, I think this rule can be a bit more flexible. I also think a wonderful addition to the tour would be a quick tour of the Food Network. |

Our tour guide, Wendy, provided a most entertaining and informative morning of Chelsea history and food tasting to our group. I would highly recommend this event to visitors new to Chelsea and loved receiving the map and restaurant list we visited to use for my next return. The food was sensational! |

I gave this tour to my husband as a birthday present based on a recommendation from a friend. My husband's father was a butcher who had his own business in Queens more than a half century ago and he would accompany his father to the Meat Market as a youngster when his father would go to pick up meats. While we have visited Chelsea Market over the past several years, we never had the opportunity to learn the history of the building and he had not been back to the Meat Packing District in many years. It brought back many fond, nostalgic memories for my husband. Our tour guide, Diana was very enthusiastic and interesting as she provided many bits of trivia about the area. The food tastings were yummy, culinary treats and certainly offered more than enough food for a lunch. The building has been renovated and used in such an interesting, artistic and unique manner. We appreciated the opportunity to visit and tour the Morimoto and Del Poso Restaurants up close and personal. And then, walking on the highline in NYC, going to the Meat Market area and learning about how the Chelsea Market has been responsible for so many positive changes in the community over the years, was so informative. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and we will be back with family and friends to do this tour again and try some of the other tours you provide. |

WOW....what a great way to taste, tour and learn about New York's historical Chelsea area. From the very beginning we knew we were in for a "treat"! Our guide was delightful , humerous and very versed and knowledgeable of the area weaving colorful stories throughout the tour for us. The market was amazing and we ended up taking a stroll along the newly opened park area on the trestles. From start to finish we enjoyed every minute and every morsel! We would highlly recommend the tour for a fabulous time :) |

My son, who is attending Chef school in Canada and I, who can't boil water without burning it, signed up for the Chelsea Market/Meatpacking District Food Tasting Tour. Despite our vastly different knowledge about / interest in food, we both thoroughly enjoyed this tour. The guide was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. The food was great, the venue is fascinating and the pace was perfect. |

Although it starts a bit sweet for me (I did the 10:30 tour); I thought the tour was great. There is a mix of sweet and savory foods. Great variety of food and informative walking tour. Guide was incredibly knowledgeable. Worth the money.
I would definitely recommend; especially if you haven't been to NY before. |
