A friend mentioned this tour to me before I left Australia so I looked into it when I got to New york. As the day was a bit rainy it seemed an excellent way to spend the day. Our guide was professional and friendly and the tour was fabulous. All the providors we visited had lovely produce and the tastings were a great bonus. I have already recommended the tour to another friend and would not hesitate to encourage others to take the tour. A fantastic way to spend a day in New York

A chance to really look around a neighborhood

It gave me an opportunity to look more in depth at what the neighborhood had to offer and how it looked. Usually I just walk through and enter only if I have information or the outside is alluring. Sometimes I felt (and this could just be me) that it was a form of advertising for the places we stopped. The guide should make a disclaimer unless this is true. The guide was interesting, nice, considerate and enthusiastic. The time constraint, however, was sometimes too evident.

We had a great time on this tour. The guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of useful information. The food was great and we went back later to purchase some more. I would recommend it to anyone except maybe those with small children as I think they would find it too long.

The Chelsea Market/Meat District tour was very interesting and well worth it. It's something different. Most people wouldn't know to go to that area. All the food was delicious. The guide was informative and interesting. We learned the history of the building/Chelsea Market and the area. Very easy to find via the subway. I highly recommend it.

Our guide, Curt, did an awesome job, leading us through the beautifully renovated Chelsea market and further into the Meatpacking district. The tour was peppered with interesting anecdotes and filled with tasty morsels. Can't wait to try another such tour

Excellent Tour

Our tour guide, Cindy, was very knowledgeable about this area (Chelsea) and knew quite a few people as we went on the tour. She pointed out a lot of interesting facts in the Chelsea Market (you have to go on the tour to find out what they are though (<:) as well as showing up parts of the Meatpacking District (even found out about a few places that were used in Sex and the City - the tv show, not the movie). We definitely had enough items to sample and everything was great. It's very easy to find via subway. If you select this tour, you will not be disappointed. I am a picky eater myself and I had no problems trying anything that was offered.
