My friend and I really enjoyed the tour!!! Yes, I would recommend the tour. We went back to some of the stores after the tour was over and bought some things we tried. We also had a great guide and I wish I could remember his name. ( I'm not good at remembering names. ) I personally have not been back to the market in quite a few years and was taken away with all the changes. Thanks

I really enjoyed the tour guide's enthusiasm and genuine knowledge of the area. It was really insightful and she answered every question really thoughtfully. We got a great insight into this emerging precinct and a feel for the rapid changes it has undergone in the past decade or so.

Diana was a great guide

Diana was great, she was very enthusiastic, funny and gave us a good idea about this location in previous years. I had a great time on this tour. I went back a few days later to Eleni's for more cookies and the Lobster Place for a lobster roll, which was also good. I plan to return to NYC and will take another tour to another location. I had taken a food tour with Zerve in Philadelphia last year, and the guide is very important; this person didn't know some things about Philly that should have been obvious if you're giving a tour. Diana was just the opposite!

fantastic experience. Totally recommend it to anyone travelling through NY. I was here on business so by myself in the city but felt very included and really enjoyed the company. I think people should do this tour on their first day as the tour leader gives such insider knowledge about the area.

I enjoyed the tour. It was delivered knowledgably and enthusiastically by a guide who obviously had feeling for Chelsea Market, the independent food producers and the area in general. Good fun - recommended.

Tour guide Darren was very informative and thoughtful of the participants and our needs. The history of the area is fascinating and he told it in a very entertaining way. The food samples were delicious and plentiful. I'm so glad that I didn't miss this. Hope to get back to NYC soon to take your other tours.

Chelsea Market & Meat Packing District tour w/Bob

Our tour guide Bob showed us a great time on the ‘Chelsea Market & Meat Packing District’ tour. We were about 16 people in our group and first-up was a neat history lesson about the Chelsea Market building and it’s origins followed by a delicious cranberry/blueberry everything-cookie from ‘Eleni’s’ bakery. This was one big cookie. Here’s 2 of the food stops: The ‘Lobster Place’ gave us a choice of 6 soups to choose from. The New England clam chowder was out of this world! Then, a nice sit-down deli-spread in the back of ‘Buon Italia’ with bread from ‘Amy’s Bread’ (Chelsea Market), and 2 kinds of thinly sliced Italian style meats, an artichoke spread, little onions marinated in balsamic vinegar, sweet green olives and smoked mozzarella cheese. (I really liked those little onions) For me, one of the highlights of this tour was discovering the ‘Highline’ promenade which is now a beautiful NYC park. Trust me, you will find this place to be a hidden treasure. There’s lots more to experience and I recommend this tour to everybody. Our guide was a lot of fun and really knew his NYC history. It was a great walking tour with 7 individual food stops. From the Chelsea Market to the Highline, and through the Meat packing District/Fashion Designer area to the final sit-down hot Italian appetizer. It was an excellent 3-hour tour. Thanks Bob!!
