I and my family enjoyed this tour very much. The tour guide was very informative and made you feel very welcome and comfortable. The tastings were excellent, only wish there were more. This is my second tour with your company and I fully intend to take another one in the future.

Dianah was a great hostess/tour guide. She was full of good information which included history of the area and what is happening now. This was our third 'Foods of NY Tour' and the food we tasted was excellent as usual. My only negative comment would be the stops into the 'Iron Chef' restaurants. I have no idea who these 'chefs' are and really not interested. There were no food tastings and it was like we were sneaking around for a look at the establishment.

The entire tour was wonderful - starting with our tour guide Kurt, the members of our group, the weather in NYC that day and of course the shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend it especially if you haven't spent much time on the west side of Manhattan. We learned some interesting history and background of the area too. Loved it. And Kurt is the best!

A friend referred me to the NY City food tours, and having read the itineraries, I decided upon the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour. Boy, am I glad I did! We had a Thursday tour, at 10:30am. As soon as our guide arrived, I knew we were in for a treat. Curt was his name (and if you can request him as a guide, do it!). He must have memorized the guest list, as he greeted us all by name, (working so hard to memorize those he'd forgotten), and continued to personalize the tour by making us feel like we were with a new friend. When they say this is a "food tour with tastings"... that's just a tease. There is SO MUCH FOOD! Even my big-eater family member was feeling stuffed before we reached the end of the tour. It was fun to pop into shops I might not have otherwise, and the informaiton Curt new about the area of town was great. His knowledge of food was incredible! We enjoyed red velvet cupcakes from Eleni's, the world's best chocolate milk from Ronnybrook Farm Dairy Milk Bar, yummy fresh sliced ham from Dickinson's Farmstand meats, a grilled cheese panini from Lucy's Whey, egg crostada at Buon Italia, a sausage hand pie from the Tuck Shop, a perfect mini donut from the Doghnuttery, s'more chocolate candy from Liddabit Sweets, buttermilk biscuits with jam and marmalade from Sarabeth's bakery, then finally a plate of pasta in a local restaurant (who's name escapes me!). I was, quite simply, stuffed. My mom found the guide so charming, she encouraged him to try out for the Food Network (which is in the same building as the Chelsea Market)! Awe, mom. So cute. At the end of the tour, after a quick stop at Morimoto's for a bathroom break (and to sit on $6K toilets), we got a surprise detour into a brownstone. Our guide just happened to know the owner who allowed it. What a fun peek into these gorgeous million dollar homes! So yes, you by far get your money's worth, and more, on this tour! You do walk the entire 3 hours, but not far by any means. Book this now!

We were lucky that a group of 10 didn't show up so with the 6 of us i guess we had a private tour. Loved all the background and all the enthusiasm of the guide. Tasted some really nice things from some charming places. Really loved this little piece of NY. And we did it on our last day, so very relaxed to have some guidance after a few exhausting days in the big apple. Greetings from Holland.

Was full of local foods. No dreaded chains in here. It was a unique way to learn about the history of the neighborhood while tasting some delightful food. .

As native New Yorkers (from Long Island) we had never been on this type of tour in NY - we were very pleased with the guide, loved learning about the Chelsea Market and surrounding area and had a lovely 3 hours on a Sunday morning - what could be better!

This is the second food tour we've taken with this company, and I can't say enough great things about them. The guide, Darrel, was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. He did a great job of keeping the group together and knowing the plan of where and when to meet for the brief breaks. The samples were plentiful and well chosen. The walk on the High Line was good for those who haven't been there before. Darrel also gave great recommendations as to what to do in the neighborhood after the tour. We took his advice to go to the rooftop bar at the Gansevoort Hotel, which we enjoyed very much. I highly recommend taking this or any other tour from this company.
