We were in New York for only two days and had therefore planned this tour on forehand. We would newer had experienced the Chelsea market or the fancy meatpacking district if this tour had not been available. The guide had a lot of knowledge and fun stories about everything there, and the food tasting was nice too. We got a lot of facts on the way, best suiteble for adults, dont think would interest kids.

This was our 5th tour with Foods of New York. This tour, like all the other we have taken, was nothing short of exceptional. Bob, our tour guide was very knowable and wanted to know if we had any questions at all about anything on our tour. Excellence tour guide. To be honest, we have had 5 different guides on all of our FNY tours and have found all to be very knowable and helpful with any questions anyone may have. Now about the food we had on the tour. One word, Delicious!!!! I'm not going to name what we had, as the tour changes tastings from time to time. But rest assured any tour you take with Foods of New York will be well worth your time and money.

Good tour, but not the greatest of tastings

I was disappointed with the tastings we had (as compared with the Greenwich/SOHO tour we took last year). Mostly pastries and bakery items. However, the tour of Chelsea Market was very good, and the trip to the "Highline" was nice. I think I would have preferred a little more touring of the neigborhood. All-in-all, we are glad we took the tour.

My husband and I have been on a few Food Tours and every tour seems to be better than the last, if that's even possible! The tour guides are so knowledgable & Curt was the best yet! The tours are not only really fun & informative but delicious too. I recommend these tours to everyone from locals to visitors from everywhere. Just take the tour, any of them, you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic NYC tour and tour guide!

This Chelsea market walking tour was the best $49 (ea) we ever spent on something like this...our guide was fantastic...he made it incredibly fun, entertaining and informative for the full 3 hours. 5 minutes from its start, he had everyone in our group knowing each other's names and where we were all from. By the end of it we all felt like new friends.... My mom and I went to together and we both love to cook, so this was a really special thing to do together. It's definitely not for kids unless they are learning to cook - maybe around age 10 and upward and definitely not small children. For adults, it was wonderful and we had a ball! What's better than laughing, (our guide was one of the funniest, brightest guides I've ever seen), tasting amazing foods and making new friends over great food with the best NYC tour guide ever?? Nothing! I can't wait to bring my husband next time and I've highly recommended it to other friends and family for a great NYC thing to do!

our guide was very knowledgeable and the information about each participating vendor was terrific. The food was delicious at each place. We really appreciated that we were able to specify vegetarian or my husband would have missed out on some food tastings. Unfortunately it was raining and we didn't enjoy the outside part of the tour and ducked out before the end. The tour was a little TOO long in our opinion (3 hours) - we would have been happy to be done after the first 2 hours.

Funny, entertaining, informative and well organized! Not just for foodies. We learned about the history of the area with funny anecdotes and great tips for further exploration of New York. One of the highlights of our week in New York. Generous food sampling... don't eat before the tour and you won't need lunch!

We went on this tour about 8 years ago with Todd as our guide and had a blast. This time we saw all different places and the Highline (which was awesome) and Cindy was the best little ball of energy we could have asked for in a guide. Thanks again for another great tour - we have one more to do, the Chinatown Tour. CAN'T WAIT!!!
