I recently went on the chelsea market food tour and found to be extremely interesting and fun. The tour giude was very informative and easy to listen to. the tour itself was very laid back and offered me a view of the city i have never seen before. Being a nyc resident all my life i learned about a place in the city i think everyone should experience because it has so much of ny culture in it |

Lots of fun! Our group was small - I imagine it would not have been as great with more folks. |

Everything we tasted was fabulous, and I must commend our tour guide Cindy for making the tour an entertaining one. I've already recommended the tour to friends & co-workers who plan to head into NYC. I plan to schedule one of the other locations very soon. This is definitely worth it and a great thing for all foodies!! Thanks. |

the tour guide takes the group to the home of a friend (bed & breakfast), perhaps a advertising detour, if I had known that from the outset I would not have registered and paid for this tour. |

My daughter and I planned a day in the city and decided to do the Chelsea Market tour. We had an absolute ball! Darryl was a doll, very informative and lots of fun. I've been on the Greenwich Village tour (also great!) and I was pleased to see how different but fantastic both tours were. We really enjoyed all of the tastings, including the more unusual salt tasting (definately my first) to the delicious gelato. All of the stores in the market are such wonderful specialty stores, with so many choices. It was fun watching native New Yorkers do their morning shop in the market while we were waiting for our tour to begin. We loved all of the history of both the market and the meatpacking district. Knowing that I was in the same building as the "Food Network" was a definite plus for me. I wish I lived closer so I could take advantage of all of the great shopping that Chelsea Market offers. I highly recommend this tour to both out of towners as well as locals. |

My parents were in town visiting me from Michigan so I arranged for us to take this tour. We took the train in from New Canaan, CT and spent 3 great hours with our tour guide Kurt. Not only was the tour informative, the food samples delicious but Kurt's personality really made the tour memorable! My parents had a great time and especially loved that Kurt took us to his friend's brownstone and they got to see her secret garden. It was a side of New York that you would not expect and not usually get a chance to see. I have recommended this tour to several people already and will continue to do so! |

Best part, of course, was the food tasting (especially the croissant from French Oven!). I was surprised by how much food there was to sample - it really was a good lunch (although the courses were not in order - I love having dessert first and last). I've been to Chelsea Market several times before (Frank's) but will definitely go back more often. It personalized the place in a way that made it more approachable. I'm from a small town on Long Island where you know who owns & runs the supermarket and after the day was over I felt that same familiarity with Chelsea Market. Looking forward to seeing how the Meat Packing District will change even more in the next few years. Thanks! |

We loved our guide, Kurt, who gave us so much information on the area. We also enjoyed the tastings and were more than full. I just thought we'd be outside more in the immediate area, not just in the market. I have to say Kurt made the event for us! |
