A work colleageue in SF recommended this tour. I am from SF, my friend who I was visiting, lives on Long Island. We loved it and Sam our tour guide was great, very personable and enthusiastic. I didn't know anything about the Chelsea Market, and since I Iove to cook and eat , it was right up my ally. We both loved hearing about the history of the market and surrounding area. We also loved the treats served along the way. I would highly recommend this to a local or an out of towner. In fact, my New York friend is thinking about doing this as a birthday celebration with some of her girlfriends. I only suggest that you come hungry, as you will fill up on some very tasty food during the afternoon.
It's a great way to spend an afternoon in NY, particularly if you are a return visitor to Manhattan, looking for something different, or a local wishing to learn more about the area. |

Our guide was so knowledgable and enthusiastic. When the guide has a good attitude and can answer all your questions, you always learn more! There is so much in one square block. It was never boring, and you just wanted to stay in each spot and buy all their stuff and ask more questions.
I would give our guide top rating. I am telling all my friends. It is a great experience and a great gift for anyone coming into town. I am bringing back my whole family! |

It was very interesting and the food options were awesome. Sam, our guide, was great. He knew the history of each of the stores that we vistited as well as the area outside the market when we took the outside tour. He kept our attention the entire time. I could have gone another 3 hours. Thanks for having a different type of tour! You get more of the New York vibe !! |

It was a great tour and I would absolutely book it again. The only negative I can say is that I really did not need to walk thru the restaurants just to see them. At the end of our tour, we walked through about 4-5 restaurants and walked thru a hotel. I could have done without that part. The tour was very informative and enjoyable. Our tour concluded at a hotel a few blocks from Chelsea market. I think it would have been better to end at the market. We were on a time crunch and weren't able to go back to the market to shop at the end of our tour. Will recommend to anyone I hear who is going to NYC. |

We really enjoyed our guide,Sam-he was funny and made us all feel comfortable-the food was just so-so with the exception of the lobster bisque-which was fabulous- also we started wiht a cookie -not a good idea-the biscuits were awful-cold and the jam was like from t he supermarket- a hot roll with some fancy butter would be a better option |

My two sisters and I really enjoyed this tour. Curt, our tour guide, was the best! My recommendation to everyone is to skip breakfast and be hungry. You will not need lunch. I also agree with another reviewer's comments about starting the tour with a cookie -- I wish that would have come later. But it was a great cookie and all the food was delicious. |

I took my parents and aunt and uncle on the Chesea Market food tour. Even though I'm a local, I learned a ton about the market and the neighborhood and enjoyed the food immensely. Plus, we were given much more food than I had anticipated in a "tasting". Our guide was entertaining and made it a fun day. I would absolutely recommend this tour. |

BOB WAS A GREAT GUIDE ON THIS TOUR OF CHELSEA MARKET AREA.
HIS KNOLEDGE OF THE HISTORY OF THIS AREA WAS EVIDENT AS WE ALL
WANTED TO LEARN DETAILS OF THE OLD NABISCO FACTORY AND SURROUNDING AREA. WHILE STROLLING SAMPLING THE MARKETS CULINARY DELIGHTS WE ALL ENGAGED IN GREAT CONVERSATION.
WE ALL SURE HAD A GOOD LAUGH PASSING HOGS & HEFFERS THEN TRYING
TO SNEEK A PEEK INTO THE BUDA BAR WHERE WE WERE TURNED AWAY BY
A VERY RUDE GENTLEMAN. ( OUR U.S. DOLLARS WERE NO GOOD THERE
I GUESS THEY ONLY TAKE FRENCH EUROS )
I DON'T WANT TO GIVE ALL THE DETAILS OF THIS TOUR AWAY BUT I AM SURE
ANYONE WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME ON THIS ONE .
