Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

The Chelsea Market tour was headed up by a funny and informative tour guide (Bob) who introduced us to a section of NYC that we had never considered visiting but will certainly return to in the near future. Loved the short walk on the Highline, the historical tidbits, humorous stories and the food, glorious food!! Our friends loved the experience and have already told other friends to take a tour. Worth every penny! Looking forward to the next one.

Will go on other tours with your firm next time we come to NYC.

Darrell (sp) was our leader. He was very well informed and had great prescence. The tour was such fun and the food was beyond my expectations, very good and plentiful. Loved seeing that part of town.

I had never been to the tour destinations before. I found the history of the meat packing district very interesting; what the neighborhood was like then and what it has become in its renaissance. Our guide always had us smiling with his keen wit. We were generously fed. I enjoyed the elevated park and its view. Overall, I was very satisfied with the tour and would highly recommend it.

Guide very knowledgeable, Kept a good walking pace. Covered territory. Appetizing food, interesting restaurant choices. --liked going into Del Posto.

The tour leader was very informative and the variety of places we visited were enjoyed by everyone in my group. I would highly recommend this tour and will book another food tasting tour the next time I'm in NY.

I was looking for a fun birthday activity for a friend who is a self-proclaimed "foodie". The tour was perfect in all ways...the food was delicious, the guide (Darryl) was charmingly informative and entertaining, and the history of the area was very interesting. We visited a wide variety of venues and tasted a little bit of everything...seafood chowder, baked goods, sweets, pasta, antipasto selections, dairy, etc. We toured the interior of the market but were lucky to venture outside as well and tour a bit of the neighborhood, a local restaurant and the HIgh Line. We shopped along the way and went home with some terrific bread, cheese, olive oil and kitchen gadgets. It was a fantastic day...a creative spin on taking a friend to lunch for her birthday!

I visited NYC in the summer of 08 and we happened to find the Greenwich Village Food Tour; which we LOVED. I was privileged to come back in March 12, and KNEW I wanted to do another food tour; so we decided on Chelsea Market. While in the city, we made a visit to Murray's Cheese Store and Rocco's from the first food tour. The Food was as good in 2012 as it was in 2008.

Tour guide was terrific! Derral was entertaining and very informative as to the history of Chelsea Market and the Meat Packing district. Loved the food samples. Highly recommend this activity.

Our guide, Bob Gelder, was extremely knowledgable. Interesting and fun!! My friends and I had a fabulous time. This is the third of your tours I've done...this one may have been the best! I highly recommend your walking food tours. Thanks Bob!
