| Our tour guide was great, the first 1 1/2 hours were perfect. Then we went outside and toured the new railroad park. That was interesting but we spent over an hour not talking about food or tasting anything. I would have preferred to spend the last half of our tour in the meat packing district and taste food in some of those restaurants. |

| I took the Greenwich Village tour, the day before. This one was equally good. Diana, our tour guide was a certified tour guide and a native New Yorker. Her blend of knowledge about the food we were tasting and the Chelsea Area was great. Generous portions on this tour. The lobster bisque was out of this world. If you want to get the best of both worlds, yummy food tastings and information about the area you are in, take the tour, it's great. |

| I'm so glad we decided to do a food walking tour. Food? Walking? Why doesn't EVERYONE do it?
Curt was our tour guide and was great. Very enthusiastic from the very begining. I'll be honest, it was a little much at first, but I think that was more because it was 11am and I was just waking up. He had to be enthusiastic though, because I would have hated to have a boring tour guide. Nothing worse than being stuck with someone for 3 hours and NOT enjoying the company. You can also tell he was well liked by all the restaurant owners/workers and they have a great relationship as we were welcomed with open arms to every place we went. I know its all scheuduled ahead of time, but still, seeing the polite pleasantries exchanged between the 2 was nice in the busy city.
My friends and I were the youngest (all 25 years old) group there, we had ladies in their (what looked to be) 35+, but, Curt was able to entertain us all. The food is delicious and the information we get on the neighborhood is great and things you won't normally get from a tour guide book.
We decided to go to the Chelsea market/meat packing district tour and it did not dissapoint. We stayed in the chelsea market for a majority of the tour before finally walking outdoors and seeing a few different restaurants, walking pass a few high end boutiques and finally ending the tour.
The food we tried was GREAT and while it may be common foods, the history behind the bakers, the restaurants, and the knowledge you get is well worth the $44.
GIVE IT A TRY! next time I'm in the city, I'll be booking another tour in the other neighborhoods. |

| Great experience. Our Group Leader, Kent, made it fun and entertaining. The food was delicious and the history of the Chelsea Market fascinating. After the tour, we went back and bought items to take home. |

| We loved getting an overview of food options and ideas of places to visit again! Kurt was a great host - entertaining and informative! The food was wonderful and it was so fun to spend the time with people from all over the world. We are already planning to the Greenwich Village tour next time we're in New York! |

| We had a nice tour through meatpacking district. To see the shops including some food is interesting and to hear some of the history too. Our guide Kurt appeared to be a bit of a chatter and that is an understatement. He talks the whole time but that seems to be normal in New York.
Absolutely a nice tour and definitely worth a recommendation to go to one of the nicest areas in NYC! |
