Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Cindy provided adequate detail about the area, businesses and history. The selection of tastings was great and just enough. I would've preferred one more tasting outside the market to know about the restaurants in the area.

I'm a native New Yorker and learned so much from this very informative tour. Darryl was a superior guide. The tasting was phenomenol. We went back to the market and bought some of the items. I've recommended this tour to many, many of my friends. Looking forward to going to the Nolita tour.

Provided an insight into the history and development of the market and its surroundings which we wouldn't have gained by just wandering around. The guide was informative and entertaining. The food we tried was varied and tasty.

I would ask for the guide to consider that there might be international tourists and speak a little bit slowly. In general the tour was great! Thanks for the wonderful time we spend.

This is the perfect activity if you are unsure about the weather and where to eat. There were 4 of us including my 79 y.o. mother. The guide, Daryl (?) was funny, annimated and really knew his stuff. He talked directly to my mom and was very personable. We walked leisurely and had a variety of great foods. We went back the next day and had lunch at the Lobster House(?) where we had a tasting. My son will be moving to NYC and will definitely go back and eat/shop @ Chelsea Market.

We had a great time. As a local, I've been to the Chelsea Market and MPD plenty of times. But never appreciated it as much as I do now, after the tour. Our guide was terrific -- funny, informative, and very New York. My family from Washington loved it. Three hours well spent. I would do it again. I've also been on the Greenwich Village food tour and liked this one just as much if not more.

My husband and I took this tour and it was an awesome experience. We were able to sample different varieties of food that we would never have considered trying on our own. A tour like no other. I definitely recommend this tour to out-of-towners.
