Kurt, our tour guide does stand up comedy as well and it sure showed. He was very entertaining and had a great memory for names. He was inclusive, knowledgeable and seemed to have as good a time as we did!

We did the tour of the Chelsea Market and loved it for a couple of reasons. The first was the food. The tour guide gave us a history of the food and it was all great. There was just enough to fill us up without getting stuffed. The key to our tour was the tour guide. He was knowledgable as well as funny. He kept the tour flowing and really knew a lot about the area.

Our guide was a fan of New York, good food, the food business and local history. A journalist by training, he gave an inciteful and interesting tour. He was open to questions and flexible to the group's interests. Had I not been flying home with only a carry on, I would have gone back to the market after the tour and bought some of the heavier, liquid specialties. Perhaps next time I'd bring bubble-wrap and a check-through bag.

I highly recommend this tour. My husband admitted he didn't think he'd enjoy this tour but it was at the top of both our lists of favorite things we did in NY. Our guide Cindi was fantastic. The group included 1 New Yorker, tourists from CA, AZ & TX, and couples from Germany, Finland and Australia. The history we learned from Cindi was so interesting and fun. She pointed out things we never would have known just visiting the food market on our own. We tasted a huge variety of foods and learned a little about the chefs behind them. We got a sense of the development of Chelsea and how it is evolving today. I will definitely schedule some of the other food tours next time I'm in NY.

We were a group of ladies on a Culinary Tour to New York........The range of foods and restaurants, along with the cultural highlights of the tour were perfect! It was a nice change from our regular itinerary of cooking classes! A Taste For Travel, LLC, Portland Oregon
