Great guide, unusual experience

Well worth doing - even as a seasoned New York visitor (live in London) this provided a good counter balance to the shopping, bars and piano bar activities I mostly come to NY for. Have never been to this area of town (Chelsea Market / Meatpackers) - interesting urbanisation, some cool places and enough food to sink a battleship. Do it!

I recently went on the Chelsea Market tour as part of a culinary arts tour of New York City. I was travelling with students from my Home Economics class in Vancouver Canada. We really enjoyed the tour and the tastings were awesome. Definitely enough food for lunch and then some! The guide was very knowledgable and showed us a lot. I would highly recommend this tour. Enjoyed the hisory and the amount of knowledge that the tour guy had. He was warm and friendly. The samples were great and the tour was very good. It was a little too long, but I loved the rest.

A food extravaganza

Despite the ice and snow, the tour was splendid. We were provided enough food to call it lunch and the three hours passed quickly. We actually went back to one of the restaurants that we visited in the Meat Packing District and the food was fantastic. I would recommend eating at Macelleria's if you get the chance. Also, don't eat any breakfast prior to the tour. You start eating right away. If you're a foodie, you'll love this little jaunt.

The tour is fantastic. Our guide, Bob, is very knowledgeable. We enjoyed the food so much we went back to Chelsea Market immediately after the tour for a shopping trip. Definitely a must-do. We'll look forward to bringing our kids here in a few years when they are old enough to appreciate it.

Bob, our tour guide, was upbeat and shared lots of information about the Chelsea and its history. The tastings were yummy and plentiful. Mother Nature chose the day of our tour to deliver her St. Patty's storm, so the walk through the MP District was cold, wet and windy -- but fun! We'll try to do it again when the sun shines.

You better go on this tour hungry because they feed you at every stop!! The history on Chelsea Market and the area all around was interesting and informative. The Tour Guide did a great job in keeping us moving and seeing all the points of interest in the time frame. I have all ready recommended this tour to all~

Hi, It was my sisters first time to NYC and I had already done the Greenwich village food tour and wanted to do another one. So we decided on the Meat-Packing tour. It was a blast all because of a great tour guide Darrell. He was so much fun and was a wealth of knowledge. I would recommend it to all. Just a hint most of the food tour took part inside so no need to dress really warm .

On behalf of my Mom, Aunt and myself we want to thank Daryl for an excellent tour. He was so kind and enthusiatic and we learned a great deal about that areaof town and the history of the building. We enjoyed all the samples too. I actually have ordered from the market already when I got home. I would highly recommend it and I already have told alot of people about it. Sincerely, Kathy Morton
