| This is the second tour we've taken and Kirk (Kurt?) was our guide both times - we were so lucky. Not only do we learn about food, restaurants, and the area, we get a stand up comedy routine also. We have sent both of our adult children on this tour and they loved it too. I had never been to Chelsea before and now we will definitely be back! To be exposed to such amazing food and entertainment - priceless!! |

| This was a wonderful activity. My husband loves architecture and we both love food so this activity proved to be a great way to combine both of our loves. I should point out that it was MUCH more than a tasting. You should come with a somewhat empty stomach because their tasting portions are quite sizeable.
Our tour guide was fabulous! I think his name was Kurt. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and did an excellent job of telling us stories associated with each stop. He even took us to see a few sites that weren't on the outlined agenda.
Now that we've been introduced to the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking district we will definitely return on our next trip to New York City. We'll also want to take another of Kurt's tours if he's around. |

| The 3 hour tasting tour of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District was terrific. The samples were generous and delicious. I have been on some tours where I was given a TINY cube of food to sample and this was not the case here. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and very patient with the group I was in. My husband and I also enjoyed the Greenwich Cultural and Tasting tour that I took about 3 years ago, when I went with the same great tour guide, Toby. I recommend both of these tours to anyone that goes to NYC. |

| This tour gave our group of 6 another insight into a neighborhood of NYC that we probably would not have spent any time in if it wasn't for this opportunity. The samples were great, the people watching was fun, and our tour guide Todd was friendly, thorough and accomodating to all people on the tour. His knowledge of the area was so intriguing that even passersby were listening in! Go, you won't regret it!! |

| Ron, our guide was very knowledgable & pleasant & the food was excellent. Especially interesting was to see the transition in this area from a seedy industriial part of town to a blossoming fashion & dining destination. |

| Having just arrived in NYC less than 12 hours hours before, this was an exciting welcome to the city. Kurt, our guide, was very welcoming and enthusiastic- a good welcome to the city. He was very knowledgeable about the market, the shops, the owners, and the food. You could tell he loves this- what he is showing, what he is presenting for the tastings, the people, it seems he was having as much fun as the rest of us. Whatever you do- don't eat a big breakfast just before the tour! And don't worry about lunch- you will eat plenty. Some of the tastings are a bit unusual, but interesting- like the "salt tasting", but some of it is downright delicious- like the cup of lobster bisque and the italian meats and cheeses tastings (trust me- try the mortadella- it melts in your mouth). Once out of the market, you will walk a lot- have your comfy walking shoes on! Our ending was an especially surprsing and relaxing end, which I will not disclose because I don't want to ruin the surprise!
Especially for the "foodie," but great for anyone. |
