| This is the first food tour my husband and I had ever been on and Todd made it fun and educational. He was very well informed and seems to enjoy giving the tour as much as we enjoyed taking it. With lots of history, humor and good eats we spent the best day of all of our trips to New York City. We hope to take your other food tour on next year’s family trip, and after hearing us talk about it most of the rest of our group wants to come with us.
When we got home, I looked online for other food tours in different cities but yours was the only one I could find. If you start doing other tours anywhere please let us know. We want to take food tours in more cities. Thank you very much for a great day. Suzi and Jay.

| Not only would I recommend this but I would do it again. Initially I was bummed that the Greenwich Village Food Tour was sold out but what a stroke of luck. My husband and I discovered the trendy meat packing district - a food lover's paradise. Our guide was the best. He knew the area, history, people and food. Enjoy! |

| we met our tour guide who was from the area and knew a lot about the city and it's history - also lots of information about the green movement in New York, very cool.
Ok the food. we started with a bakery which had these amazing cookies with lots of goodies in them. we spent a large portion of the time in this cute, very historic mall/food court, which was once formerly a meat packing company. we sample lots of yumming food. love the cheese and crackers at the specialty shop. the last place to eat was this old italian restuarant with a lot of history and wonderfully made home pasta.
overall, I would recommend the tour if you really want to experience chelsea. |

| Darryl, our tour guide, was hilarious and very knowledgeable. He made our tour fun, relaxed, and entertaining. A trip to NYC would not be complete without going on a food tour especially to the Chelsea Mkt / Meatpacking district area. This was our very first food tour so we did not know what to expect...we were pleasantly surprised and recommend this tour highly. The food was tasty and awesome. |

| Our guide Kurt was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. We really enjoyed his style of describing the history of the area. The food was great and we learned a lot. For two people who grew up in New York and now live elsewhere, we really enjoyed learning about a piece of Manhattan that we had never visited before. We don't recommend u bring babies or fussy toddlers. Wear comfortable shoes and if possible a separate bag to put whatever food u don't want to eat but want to save for later. |

| We loved our guide, Kurt, who gave us so much information on the area. We also enjoyed the tastings and were more than full. I just thought we'd be outside more in the immediate area, not just in the market. I have to say Kurt made the event for us! |

Don't go to Soho - try this out instead!

| When I booked this tour, my preference had been for either Greenwich Village or Soho, but as it was last minute, the only place left was on the Chelsea and Meat Packing District tour. I did think twice but I am so glad I did proceed with the booking. I turned up at Chelsea Market and was met by the guide - Cindy. She was fabulous! So enthusiastic, full of life and interesting stories. We spent most of the 3 hrs in Chelsea Market - what a facinating place! We stopped and so many places to sample and feast along the way and then finished the tour outside in the meat packing district, which they are now calling MeaPa ... this district is quite surreal, on one side of the street you have chic designers like Stella McCartney and then accross the street you have a meat packing plant with joints of meat hanging from huge hooks.
But it was a super 3 hrs and you will love Cindy - such a character!
A few tips:
1. Don't eat before you go on the tour
2. Be prepared to eat desert first!
3. Make sure you have some time to look around on your own at the end of the tour as no shopping is allowed! And there is so much to see in this area and some great little restaurants to sample ...
Don't go to Soho - try this out instead! If you are interested in food and local culture, you will love this tour. You also get a look at where Sex in the City's very own Samantha lives! 2 for the price of 1 - now that's value!
Hope you enjoy it as much as I did! |
