Great!

We did the Greenwich Village tour several years ago and when we knew we were going back to NY I looked the tours up again. It lived up to all expectations and everyone that went with us and that I had reccomended it too were also thrilled. The details our guide told us about the market and the foods were so interesting. And of course the food is unlike much of what we can get in Florida. Kurt, our guide, was great. He was funny and made the tour fun to go on and you didn't realize you were learning anything. If you ever create a new tour, we will be on the watch for it! B ill and Carol Marshall

Chelsea Market Tour a Delicious Afternoon
Fri, May 5, 06   12:00 PM jhoway Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Family Without Children
From the first moment Kurt began our tour we knew we were in for an afternoon of fun. Little did we know just how delightful, informative, delicious, and entertaining it would be! Each tasting was more wonderful than the previous one; it would be impossible to pick a favorite. The history of the entire Chelsea and Meatpacking area was very interesting, and Kurt made it amusing as well. We highly recommended the tour to the others in our group and we will definitely return when we visit New York again.

My husband and I loved the tour -- he liked the historical references as to the history of the building (being a train buff). It was great to see an abandoned building restored to accommodate family owned business. The food was a real treat and Curt, our guide, was knowledgeable, humorous and considerate. It was a great way to learn about the neighborhood as well.

This was a great tour. The guide was personable and had a great sense of humor. He knew a lot about the area and about food and dining. Everything we sampled was delicious, and we definitely did not need lunch afterward.

I love this tour. I had taken it two years ago, and when a group of friends were deciding what to do on a girls weekend in the city I suggested this. All five of them loved it. Our guide was wonderful, and although the tour was essentially the same, he added his own point of view to the tour so it was definitely worth doing again. We loved the new addition of the salt tasting - very different, and very interesting. The food was great, and the "sample" portions were big - truly enough for a meal. We all would recommend the tour to others and plan on taking the Greenwich Village tour in the future.

A friend of mine had recommended this trip to me - a week before I arrived in NYC (book early - as spaces are snapped up). I thought it would be good, but it was one of the highlights of our trip to New York. Cindi, our guide, was an absolute marvel. Extremely knowledgable, very friendly and welcoming and overall a funny lady! The food was secondary only to Cindi's narrative. And the food was something else - particularily the croissant from Amy's Bakery. Legendary. So my advice - if you want something to do that's a little off the normal tourist route, whilst at the same time getting excellent entertainment, value for money and, obviously, good food. Book a space - and book it now!! Mike Longden, Cardiff, Wales, UK.

Chelsea Market tour

My husband and I went on the tour this past Saturday. This tour and the tour guide Cindy was one of the highlights of our visit to the City. The market in the old Nabisco facility was incredible, it was so interesting to learn the history of the building. The outdoor meatpacking part of the tour was very interesting too. This is a tour that is definitely recommended, the food that we sampled was well worth the price of the ticket to go on the tour. The next time I visit the city with my girlfriends, We will go on this tour even though I have been once, it is something that should not be missed.
