| This was the best Birthday gift ever! Thanks to my husband we had the most fantastic time with at Chelsea Market tour.
Our guide was Kurt and he was terrific, we laughed so much. His abilities to learn everyones names were great. There were 16 of us and it felt like he knew all of us in a matter of minutes. He was very funny, but very knowledgeable.
Samples food items were in ample portions. We did not need lunch or dinner for a while after the tour. It was great to see the comradary among the vendors in the Market and Kurt ( our guide) They all knew him and welcomed the entire group with open arms.
I must have recommended the tour to at least 10 people already. Please , keep up the good work and we are already signed up for another tour ( Greenwich Village tour).. |

| Having taken the amazing Greenwich Village tour previously, it was inevitable that this slightly different-flavored tour would never quite live up to it. It was interesting to learn bits about the Chelsea neighborhood revitalization and our tour guide, Sam, was absolutely outstanding—engaging, chock full of information and went out of his way to learn our names—but I suppose my one hope was for a little bit more history and maybe a little more logic to the food courses (not starting with cookies at noon, for example). Not to complain, however...the tour was a great time. |

| the only complaint is that it was difficult to find the group, otherwise we had a great time and enjoyed the food, on our next trip to the city we are looking into doing the chinatown tour |

| Our guide Sam was great - funny and knowledgeable - and the entire group has a great time. Sam did well to remember all of our names. Word of warning - Don't eat beforehand. I've recommended the tour to friends who live close. You don't need to love cooking to find the tour interesting. |

| My expectations of the tour were to learn and see something about the history of the meatpacking district. Yes, the title of the tour says chelsea mkt /...... still I hoped to see more of the other part of the title. Instead most part of the tour was spend inside the market.
The market itself was nice, the food-tasting was OK, but if you don't mind missing some explanatory details and marketing of the shops you can do this on your own easily too.
Finally outside the market strolling around the area was nice and interesting.
Regarding the organization this was more than ok and very good arranged. The guide Sam was on-time and very entertaining, so a big plus for him!
Conclusion; all was well guided and organized, but I would not do it again. I will read other peoples comments first before booking a tour to be sure it will meet my expectations. |
