Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

My mom and I very much enjoyed the Chelsea Market / Meatpacking District Food tour. Our tour guide, Curt, was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the area and also made sure that everyone had a great time. All of the food samples were delicious. The market offered a wide variety of shops that were perfect for one of kind gifts to take home. This tour was defiantly one of the highlights of our vacation. Would defiantly do again and would request Curt. What an asset!

Curt was phenomenal! The food was delicious! This is our third Foods of NY tour, but it won't be our last!

We had a blast and our guide, Curt, was wonderful!!! SO SO funny and very interesting, he really knew what he was talking about!!! Full of intersting facts about the area, not just food! Is a def must for tourist and New Yorkers alike!

The tour of Chelsea Market was one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. Even the teenagers--who were skeptical about the tour before it began--had fun! Our tour guide Kurt was exceptional. His knowledge of the area was outstanding and his comedic delivery kept us laughing the whole time. The food was wonderful! Our only regret was that we were unable to delay our departure so we could explore the market on our own after the tour.

I hope you are fortunate enough to have Diana as your guide as she is excellent - fun, full of information and facts and keeps you moving and interested! You visit many vendors inside the Market and some in the neighborhood. A quick visit to Morimoto's restaurant is terrific - (be sure to check out the toilets in the ladies' restrooms!). You will have samples of various vendor's wares and you will have a sit-down "feast" at Buon Italia. You definitely receive enough food on this tour to equate to a lunch - you will not be hungry - you will just want more.... The market is full of history and artifacts. Diana is the best as a guide! We loved her and the tour...

We loved our guide, Curt, and had so much fun learning about the history of Chelsea and the Meat packing District!!! We are Food TV fans and love to try to eat at new places where ever we go. We thought this would be a great way to learn about the area and local food without having to roam around ourselves. We utilize Yelp! too and have found that the more stars and more reviews you have, the better you truly are!!! We will be taking a different tour every time we visit from now on!!! Great job!!!

Highly, highly recommend this tour. Tour guide was well prepared and so interesting. Food was declicious. What a wonderful way to learn about the different areas of New York. Two years ago we did the Greenwich Village food tour. This year the Chelsea/Meatpacking tour. We will definitely try another area the next time we visit.

Visited Chelsea Market a year ago and did not know what we were missing until we returned and took the tour. The tour was great! We tried samples from places we would not had the opportunity to on our own. The next day we walked a mile back to the market just to get more lobster bisque and fresh bread. YUM! We would have missed so much about Chelsea and the Meatpacking District - highly recommend the tour!

Chelsea Market is full of interesting details even locals would miss without the energetic commentary of the tour guide. Food tastings were generous and delicious. A walk on the Highline was a nice addition.

The Chelsea tour was delightful. We were met by our energetic and knowledgeable tour guide at the market and for the next three hours, we discovered some of the greatest food shops in the area. We snacked on cupcakes, drank delicious chocolate milk, ate a variety of Italian specialties, kept warm with a soothing cup of soup and literally ate our way through this tour while learning the history of the Chelsea Market. We concluded our tour by walking to the Meatpacking district and stopping for a pasta dish. Our guide answered all questions, entertained us with lots of stories and made everyone in the group feel like family. It's a must when you are in New York City.
