| Curt was our guide on 9/17/06 for the Chelsea Market Tour and provided exceptionally entertaining and insightful information about the Market, the businesses, the neighborhood and its history! I would enthusuiastically recomment his tours to anyone who wanted to have an engaged, knowlegeable and affable tour guide. |

| Our tour guide Kirt was WONDERFUL. He kept us laughing and took the time to learn all 16 of our first names and addressed us by them the whole time. He had so much knowledge of the Chelsea Market and all of the area and was always giving you suggestions you could use on your trip and in everyday life. I loved seeing the areas that I have seen on TV and hear so much about on the food network. I was pleasantly suprised to actually go inside two IRON CHEFS restaurants!!! That was a real bonus for me and my daughter who was on the tour with me. We enjoyed all the food samples and it was plenty of food enough for our lunch. I have already told friends and co-workers it is a must do when they visit it city. I look forward to doing it again and trying another location to learn more about food of NY. This is a wonderful opportunity for tourists to learn more and experience things they would not be able to do without your tours. Please let Kirt know how GREAT he is and we would love to have him still doing tours next year when we return to the city. Thanks so much for the opportunity to give you my review and for wonderful tours you offer. Sincerely, Connie in Virginia |

| Absolutely loved your walking/eating tour of the Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking district. My ONLY objection was the order in which the tastings occurred. The first thing we tasted was Eleni's everything cookie which I consider to be dessert. Soups, pastas, lunch meats, scones, and chocolate milk were all tasted in random order. I would have preferred that the tour be organized more in the order of a good meal. |

| If you are a true foodie, you will enjoy this tour as much as my daughter and I did. Curt, our guide, was well informed, upbeat, and gave personal service, with attention to detail. The information provided about the venue really helped us to have a feel of the renovation of a former abandonded factory area, along with the interesting beginnings of many of these now well established gourmet shops, bakeries and food purveyors. We were with a group of 16 people, Curt made sure we each were given special attention. I have difficulty walking long distances, and once Curt saw me find a seat near each stop to rest, he made it a priority that he helped me to find that needed place to rest as we proceeded along the way - without making me feel like I had a spotlight on my issues. (Refreshing to find a detail oriented person with so much tact.) I would highly recommend this tour to you and your friends. You will be lucky to have Curt for your future guide. ( No, I am not his grandmother, neighbor or girlfriend, just a well satisfied tour attendee.)
Thanks for a great trip through Chelsea.

| Food tasting @ Chelsea Market is wonderful! They even accommodated one member of our party who is allergic to shell fish. Our guide, Darryl, was witty, knowledgeable, and just a good time. The food tasting was delicious and the history of the meatpacking district was really interesting. You will learn things that you never knew! Food, fun people, and interesting history! What more could you want!! |

| My husband and I enjoyed our Chelsea / Meatpacking tour very much. We have been to NYC many times but had never ventured to this particular area so decided that eating our way around would be ideal! We saw a variety of shops, restaurants and hotels and learned about the history of the area from our guide Kurt. The food samplings were delicious and the average person would require no lunch after. My husband says that his cookie from Eleni's was the best ever! Kurt is a fabulous tour guide and really made the tour informative and entertaining. One small thing - if you accept a drink in the Hogs & Heifers be prepared to pay...this is not part of the free samplings. We look forward to returning next year and signing up for the Greenwich Village tour! |

| Tour guide was FABULOUS! Somuch energy, funny and tons of knowldege about the area, food, shops and restaurants. I only wish I could remember his name - he was so funny trying to get all of OUR names right, I can't remember his.
For the price of this tour you get alot of food tastings and the information that goes along with it is interesting as well. My husband is a culinary graduate and loved all the tastes and learning about the different shops in the market.
For a fun and different day in the city check out this tour. You'll love it! |

| Our tour was and a lot of fun and we're glad we did it. Chelsea Market is really unique and a definite must see. our tour guide, Kurt, was a great blend of informative and funny. He seemed to be able to remember everyone's name and really knew his facts about the area. This activity was recommended to us by some friend's who had done it a few years ago and it ended up being one of the highlights of our trip to NYC. |

| I booked on the Chelsea/Meatpacking District Tour having done the Foods of NY tour of Greenwich Village last year, which was absolutely terrific. Although my friends and I enjoyed enjoyed the Chelsea tour overall - and all the food tastings were delicious - for me it suffered in comparison with my Greenwich Village tour last year. While the Greenwich tour had been led by a real local who knew everything and everyone about the Village, and really brought the area to life, the Chelsea tour was led by a resting actor who was chirpy and friendly, but lacked the local knowledge and passion for food I'd been expecting....added to which he kept inexplicably disappearing, and didn't really manage to create a group dynamic on the tour.
Overall still worth doing as the area is really interesting and it's a real foodie haven, but a note to Foods of NY that it would be worth them ensuring that ALL of their tour leaders are as passionate and knowledgeable as their best. |
