Chelsea Market/Meatpacking Dist Food Tasting Tour

Out guide, Barry, was excellent. Easy to hear and so informative. Some of the samples were meager. A shot glass size sample of chocolate milk was a bit lame as was a tiny cracker with a smidgen of cheese. All other samples were plentiful and all were tasty.

It was a very hot day, and it was nice to spend the majority of the tour indoors at the Chelsea Market. Barry was a great guide, and the food was delicious. Highly recommended!

We were really surprised to find so many bakeries and specialty food shops in this area. And the food was amazing - tried new things and had a blast

My sister-in-law and I took the morning tour. It was absolutely wonderul. Our tour guide was Kurt and he did an outstanding job. He was very knowledgable about the market and just alot of fun. Not only was the food wonderful, he made you laugh along the way. If possible, he will add little extras for you that just enhance the experience. The tour was so good, we changed our plans the next day and went back to explore the market on our own and were able to get some great foodie things we don't have back home. Take this tour, it is more then worth the cost!

Tour guide extremely personable and shared tons of insights The tastings were fun and family like My only recommendation would be to alter some if the samples 3 of the places visited offered were bread , biscuits and bread All very good especially the cupcake at elenis the lobster soup the pasta tastings and chocolate milk and the itallian lunch sampling Thank you Will recommend to others

Our tour guide, Dianna was full of knowledge and set the pace for a delightful three-hour tour. The tastings were delicious, and we enjoyed the restaurant tours of Marimoto's and Del Pronto. We will plan to add the Chelsea market & surrounding restaturants to our list of shop and eateries when we return to NYC in January 2012.

Our tour guide was funny, enthusiastic and extremely knowledgeable which only enhanced the great-tasting food that you get with this tour. Was given as a gift by my mom who says nothing but wonderful things about this tour and the other one (Greenwich Village) she's been on. My boyfriend and I loved it, proving it's a great activity for all ages. Was nice to be inside during the heat wave. Took the whole three hours, but didn't feel long and dragged out. Definitely recommend!

I wanted an unusual tour with a more personal feel to it but also one where we would feel comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our guide and learning the history of Chelsea Market and the Meatpacking District.

Highly recommend the tour. Our guide Bob was so knowledgable about the area/food/history & made the whole experience really fun & interesting. A must for foodies & anyone wanting to learn about the history & geography of the district.

This tour was fun, informative, and of course, tasty! We learned lots of interesting information about the Chelsea Market and Meatpacking District, the buildings and the neighborhood. My husband and I both love history so this tour really fit the bill! Even though it was just my husband and I on this tour I know our 3 school aged children would have been entertained as well. Our tour guide was a local New Yorker and lots of interesting and helpful information about all of New York. She was was fun and enthusiastic and made the whole tour really fun... even in the 100+ degree weather! When they say you will be "tasting" don't be fooled! There is a LOT of food on this tour! We were stuffed when we left with generous portions at every stop! This is a must-do for every New York vacation! I would recommend it to anyone!
